Chapter 7- Unrequited Love

Cassandra was reading Philippine online entertainment news when she noticed a featured article with Erik and a girl in a picture. She reads it:

Presidential son Erik Rodriguez – Engaged!

Manila, Philippines.

The presidential son, Erik Rodriguez was sighted upon his arrival at Ninoy Aquino International Airport together with his girlfriend, Roan Sanchez.

Several reporters from different TV networks and local Newspapers asked for a brief interview from them.

One of the reporters from channel 2 asked Erik if they got married abroad to which he denied. But he mentioned he proposed to her and that she accepted.

The couple seem to be happy and the recent engagement is proved with Roan wearing a princess cut diamond engagement ring. Erik Rodriguez said they are yet to formalize it with their families and that they will hold an announcement should there be a wedding date finalized. 

With that they walked towards their car, the two came home from Paris where Roan attended a convention and Erik followed her there.(End of story)

She cursed! "That brute! That's why he didn't want to hang out with her anymore and won't get back together with her because of that stupid girl!" fuming she said to herself.

They had a brief relationship here in New York when they were still in college. But Erik told her he wasn't in love with her. Not in his vocabulary. She was madly in love with him and she didn't forget that she was dumped. She was after all Cassandra, pretty, rich, model and a lot of men would give anything to be with her – that's why when she was dumped by Erik she was stunned and insulted. But she knew his reputation, she thought she could change him but she was wrong. It has been a couple of years. She thought she forgot about him already. Reading the article fueled her pain and anger and she wanted revenge.

"He can't be happy. He can't get married to that ugly bitch!" she promised herself.

She started looking at flights back to the Philippines and booked one. 

She is going back with a sweet revenge. Her mind started to think twisted ideas on how she will do it. She is confident she can ruin them. She will hurt Roan badly to get to Erik. Then they'll be even. She wants Erik back, badly. More than before. She can't fail now.

Soon, Roan's peaceful, happy life is about to change...will Cassandra succeed in ruining Roan and stopping their soon-to-be wedding ?
