Chapter 29 - Til We Meet Again?

Roan's plane touched down the John F. Kennedy Airport in New York.

She is finally in New York – the Big Apple.

She is staying in New York for one week. The Fashion Show is only for a day, but she will stay a little longer to be a tourist and enjoy the city.

She went to the luggage area to retrieve her luggage. After picking it up she headed over to the Arrival Area, she was met by a hotel representative holding her name up. She smiled, she was with the Hotel Plaza Athenee. It was a 5 star hotel in the Upper East Side of Manhattan.

She was greeted by a black limo which will take her to the hotel.

Roan thanked the hotel representative, she was an American, her nameplate reads as Megan.

Roan sat inside the limo and enjoyed the scene outside.

It was 12 in the afternoon. She will have about 2 hours rest and she is scheduled to meet the organizers of the Fashion Show at 2 o'clock in the afternoon.  

The Fashion Show is in two days to be held at the Lincoln Center, it was sponsored by Mercedes Benz.   Roan is to wear Monique Lhuiller's creations, being of Filipino descent, she chose Roan to showcase her 2012 spring collection.  

So far, so good. Roan thought. She has a lot of things to see in New York, she made her little itinerary while on board the plane to New York.

She wants to see everything within the week she is here in New York.     She always wanted to see the Statue of Liberty, Time Square, Rockefeller Center, Empire State Building, the Twin Towers site, Central park, the museums.

She has a busy week in in front of her.   It wasn't that bad going into downtown Manhattan. They were in front of the hotel in no time.  

She checked in and headed over to her suite. She helped herself out of her shoes and looked out, it was a nice view of the Manhattan's skyline.

  "Wow, I'm in New York finally. I love it. I can't wait to explore it." Roan thought.  

She turned the TV on and sat on the bed. She will take a quick shower before her meeting with the show organizers, she has a dinner with Monique Lhuiller later, too.   First night in New York and she is fully booked already.  

She sighed. She loves the perks of the modeling gigs, but she hates that she doesn't have time to just be herself and roam in the city.

She was glad she decided to stay for a week. She has 5 days to just enjoy the peace and quiet after the show. Just enjoy her time alone in the city - exploring it.

Erik finished his work early. He can leave as he pleases and continue working from home.   He decided to have an afternoon nap and after he will continue his work he brought home with him. She checked in and headed over to her suite. She helped herself out of her shoes and looked out, it was a nice view of the Manhattan's skyline.
