Chapter 19 - Secret Wedding?

Erik and Roan were meeting Amanda Roxas, the wedding coordinator they chose. They are meeting at the office of Weddings & Fairytales Inc. which is at one of the buildings in Paseo de Roxas, Makati.

It was 10 in the morning and they are meeting her at 10:30.

Erik fetched Roan at her office and for an early lunch so he can ask permission from her boss. Roan’s boss didn’t mind, and they both headed towards the meeting place.

“Are you excited Roan? I am. Very,” and he caressed her hand while they were walking into the building.

“Oo naman. I’m excited noh. But ninenerbyos din syempre.” she said.

“Don’t worry. We will have a nice intimate and classy wedding. Do you mind if we make it sooner. I know you are not expecting it to happen anytime soon, but I was thinking, wag na nating patagalin pa,”

“We are not waiting for anything anymore di ba…how about we get married civil lang muna and this meeting would be for our church wedding? What do you say?” he asked and he is serious with this thought. 

Especially with Cassandra’s threat. He was also thinking of moving back to New York or somewhere else after they get married. He hasn’t discussed these things with Roan yet, but he wants a peaceful start in their marriage.

“Huhh…ano ba yan? Ba’t ka ba nagmamadali? Hmmm alam ko na kung bakit...ikaw ha” and she pinched his ears.

“Aba ano na naman ang iniisip mo? Green minded ka ha! Pero yon na rin ang one of the reasons haha.”

“Sabi ko na eh. Sige…ikaw ang bahala, we have to tell our parents then.”

“Uhmmm, actually babe…ayokong sabihin sa kanila. Gusto ko sa ating dalawa na lang yon. Gusto mo after this meeting punta na tayo sa city hall. I actually got us a marriage license na. And I have someone in mind who can do it secretly,” Erik admitted.

“Huh ang bilis, you are so prepared ha. Hmmmm gusto ko yan ha. Pero huwag ngayon. Gusto ko kahit civil, I look beautiful pa rin, para sa kodakan haha.”

“Secret nga eh…so if ever apat lang tayo…yong judge plus one witness.”

“Sino naman ang gagawin nating witness natin?”

“How about Amanda herself, since she will be our wedding planner/coordinator. I’m sure she won’t mind. Our trade for her services – for the church wedding.”

“Clever idea – I like it. Sige. But do you trust this Ms. Roxas? “

“Yup, she is actually a friend of mine. So I know I can trust her.”

“Eh singsing meron ka na?” she asked.

“ Of course…later I will show you. I’m a boy scout, laging handa.” and he laughed.
