Phils POV:

I woke up the next morning well-rested, as per usual. I picked up my phone from the night stand and pushing "stop" and ending the song Dragonfly Keeper, an instrumental song that is one of my favorites. I know people say you aren't supposed to set a song you really like as your alarm because you'll start to hate it, but I couldn't help myself!

I looked at my phone and saw it was 6:50. I liked to wake up a little bit earlier because then after I'm done getting ready I can do whatever I want—sleep, play video games, clean up my room, just browse around on my phone, whatever.

I sat up, pushing my multi-shaded blue/green duvet cover and matching blue sheets off to the side and rubbed my eyes. My hand instinctively reached over to my nightstand and felt around until I located my glasses. I put the black frames on and got up out of bed, walking to the bathroom. I straightened my black fringe and washed my face to help wake myself up and decrease my grogginess. After that, I went into the cabinet and took out my case of contacts. I put them in and I headed back to my bedroom, going to my wardrobe. I decided to wear a red and black plaid shirt with black skinny jeans.

I went downstairs to the kitchen so I could get a bowl of cereal for breakfast. "Morning hun." I looked over and smiled at my mum in response, taking the box of cereal out of the cabinet.

"Has mother already left for work?" I asked. My mother works for the hospital. She's a RN (registered nurse) She typically leaves a little before 7 AM each weekday morning and comes back home at 5 PM, just in time for dinner.

"Yeah. Oh, I'm running to the store while you're at school to get food for supper. What should we  have tonight?" My mum, on the other hand, worked partially from home. She is a photographer. She doesn't take pictures of models or families, but instead of landscapes or cityscapes. She goes out to take photos and then stays at home to edit them. She doesn't really travel, though. There are loads of places to take photos in London.

"How about..." I thought for s moment about what sounded good for tonight as I took out a bowl, spoon, and the jug of milk. "green bean casserole...?" I asked, although I knew it wasn't a question, since that is a simple recipe and she could easily make it. I poured my cereal and milk into the bowl, walking into the dining room.

"Sure, hun! That's one of your mother's favorites." She spoke, walking into her office so she could start editing and deleting photos she didn't like. I assume she was starting so early so that she could get it done and have time to go to the store.

I finished my cereal and went back upstairs to the bathroom so I could brush my teeth. After the two minute timer finished in my head, I spit out my mint-flavored toothpaste into the off white sink and rinsed out my mouth using the cup I had in the cabinet. I went into my room, grabbing my backpack, phone, and earbuds, heading downstairs.

As I went down the steps I looked at my phone. 7:15. School starts at 7:40 and it's a 15 minute walk so I typically leave at 7:30. Fifteen minutes of free time. I set my backpack by the door and went back upstairs to make my bed. After I finished that, I drew my curtains open, letting in the natural light of the morning sun. I glanced at my phone again, seeing it was 7:25. I went over to my bed and sat down, sinking into the soft duvet cover. I decided to scroll through Tumblr for a little bit, laughing at a funny picture I saw.

I looked at the top of my phone and saw it was 7:30. I got up of the edge of my bed and went downstairs. When I reached the door I put on my white high tops and called a good bye to my mum as I walked out the white front door.
