18 - The new determination I can't tell.

█▄█ —Yes, Soma-sama!— Reiko replied with newly found determination looking directly into Soma's eyes as well, it was a long time since she last felt something like that. Most exciting things to happen to her so far were Yukira's random 'adventures', which she was always skeptical of anyway due to how they always ended badly for them both. With her new powers and thanks to lessons with Soma, she finally had a chance to help the clan and improve her position in it!

╣♦╠ Soma smiled and nodded, leaving the dojo and just waiting on the corridor, at the opposite side of where Reiko would have to go for returning to her room. —That's the spirit, I can sense on you something that lacks on many others!—

—It won't be easy, but I hope you can impress Hanzo-sama and me.—

█▄█ —I will do my best!— The catgirl said and followed out of the dojo with Soma, planning to get back to her room

╣♦╠ There were no signs of Yukira around, just like Soma said. Reiko could not notice any green-ish light belonging to her friend either.

█▄█ « I wonder if something stopped Yukira... I was sure she would be following us somehow, especially given her antagonism towards Soma-sama. » Thought Reiko while walking through the corridors

╣♦╠ Those newly found senses were a bit odd to get used to, but quite handy. Even before opening the door of her room, Reiko could notice the green energy field of her friend. Being able to see those through the walls sure had a certain advantage too, though the range at which she could glimpse them was rather short.

Judging by the position of it, Yukira might be lying somewhere on the floor, probably the futon already.

█▄█ « I see she already acts right at home in my room... as usual. » Thought Reiko

—See you tomorrow Soma-sama.— Said Reiko before opening the door to her room and walking inside of it

╣♦╠ When Reiko opened the door, she could notice that indeed Yukira was lying on the futon calmly, somehow. She had her legs crossed one over the another, slowly dangling a little her left foot. What was more incredible about it, however, is that she was reading a book. Book that she grabbed from somewhere, Reiko's room was not exactly a library or anything.

█▄█ —I'm surprised you didn't follow me and Soma... what are you reading?— Asked Reiko noticing the book, she definitely didn't take Yukira for a reading type

╣♦╠ —Interesting things, that's it! What did the spoiled shikigami told you?— She smirked, lifting her eyes from the book just a moment to watch at her friend and then resuming her read.

With just a simple glimpse to the book, Reiko could notice a certain similarity with one that Soma was reading when they were being punished by her the other day. It was the same cover and the title, even through covered partially by Yukira's hands, had something about 'heavenly arts'.

█▄█ —Just a few things about my power, that I should be careful and such...— Reiko said, she felt bad lying to friend, but she knew if Soma found out she told her about the trainings, she would probably get rather mad

—So that's why you didn't follow us... you went to Soma-sama's room to give her another reason to punish you.— Said Reiko looking again at the book with a sigh

╣♦╠ —Heeeh~ Not bad, Reiko!— Yukira chuckled. —Just when I was about to say myself what this book was, hmm... Seems you caught me, I'll give you a plus for it—

Then her fox ears twitched for a moment and she moved the book away, glancing at her friend with certain annoyance. —Give her a 'reason to punish me' ? Why would I? I just decided this book would be worth reading, she can't prove I took it! Will give it back in, hmmmm... Let's say a week. —
