Ryland's POV
                              {Sophomore Year}
                              I Shane - 16 I Ryland - 15 I
We went on several more dates, and I kind of fell more for her as time passed. Maybe I wasn't really gay after all. I never really dated a girl, and maybe I was just confused. I actually held Lisa's hand in public and she would kiss my cheek too. Although, no matter how hard I tried...I couldn't deny my feelings for Shane.
I kind of pushed them away, and hid them deep into my heart. I keep my mind at ease as I'm starting to think less about Shane. He was with Elle, and maybe I could be with Lisa and be just as happy as he is. I then felt a hand land on my shoulder, sending me to jump a bit.
"When the fuck are you going to ask her out?" Shane exclaimed, raising an eyebrow at me.
"I don't know. Soon?" I said, trying to ignore any eye contact with him.
"Well, hurry the process up. She literally just told Elle that she really wants to date you already." Shane explained.
"Um...I don't know how to ask her out. I'm a newbie at this dating thing you know." I said, trying to make an excuse to get out of the conversation.
"I can help with that." Shane said as he ran down his staircase.
I groaned, throwing my hands to face in frustration. I heard Shane run back up my stairs with a bunch of daisies in his hand. He grabbed a rubber band and tied them all together. Shane handed them to me and smiled. I narrowed my eyes at him and look down at the flowers before looking at him.
"Why not like roses or something? Why daisies?" I asked, a bit in a sassy tone.
"Um. Roses are so cliche, Ry." Shane said, mimicking me in sassy tone.
"Okay, well. I have flowers...now what?" I said, tilting my head at him.
"You go to her, and ask her to be yours." Shane said with a laugh. "I made it also a bit easier for you, because she's actually on her way right now."
Before I could say anything, Shane had already jumped off the bed and went downstairs. I followed him and he was pouring himself a glass of water. I was about to yell at him before the doorbell rang. Shane pushed me towards the doors, forcing me to open it. I let out a quick sigh before opening the door to see Lisa.
"Hey, you invited me over?" Lisa said with a smile on her face.
Of course, he would text her on my phone.
"Yeah! Do you wanna maybe wanna go down to the trail? We could walk down it and just talk..." I said with a smile on my face.
"Sure, why not?" She said, excitingly.
"Cool, actually I'll be right back. Just wait here really quick?" I said, as she just nodded and sat down on the little rocking chair.
I smiled before going back to the kitchen to grab the flowers. Shane then grabbed me and pulled something out of his pocket. He then put on a light coat of chap stick on my lips and instantly merged my lips together to smooth it out. Shane smiled and patted my shoulder in approval.
"Your lips were like really chapped, but you look okay now." He said smiling, before pushing back to the front door. "Now, go and have a good time."
I rolled my eyes, and I walked out the door. Lisa got up from the chair and her eyes immediately darted to the flowers in my hand. I smiled at her, and handed them to her. She smelt them first before pulling me into a big hug along with a little kiss on the cheek.
"Thank god, if you got roses I would have left right when I saw them." Lisa admitted as she made a little cute face of disapproval.

We walked and walked for what seemed like forever but at least we were talking to each other. Lisa was actually pretty interesting and she wasn't really a conceited girl like most of girls at our school. I held her hand the entire time until she became tired and decided to stop. We both sat down on the grass and just look up at the sky which was turning red due to the sun setting.
"Hey, Lisa?" I said, catching her attention as she let out a little 'hm' out.
"You know, we've been talking for a while and I think we have form some type of connection." I started out, looking up at her right in the eye. "You're an amazing girl and I really want you to kind of well be mine?"
I saw a smile was starting to show on her face. She looked down as I then put my finger under her chin to lift her face up to look at me. I leaned in and our lips connected. It was a slow, soft kiss and her arms wrapped around my neck as mine went around her waist. We pulled away and she spoke.
                              "I'll be yours." She whispered.
I smiled at her once again and she pulled me back in for a kiss. It was more faster this time, but still yet full of love that was all coming from her. I mean, I didn't feel anything when we kissed. Isn't your heart suppose to explode and your stomach is suppose to fill with butterflies?
                              Huh, maybe I'm just different.
