Seconds.

Minutes.

Hours.

Days.

Months.

2 months, 4 days, 23 hours, and 37 minutes to be exactly is how long I've been without Ryland. To be honest, I didn't think it was going to be this hard.

I felt horrible about what happened, but it wasn't my fault that I didn't I love him the same way. He is and will always be my best friend, nothing more than that.

At least that's what I thought, until earlier today.

//Earlier That Day//

I looked once again into the mirror and saw my figure. I wore a dark green shirt with some ripped black jeans. My hair was styled upwards and my facial hair was slowly coming back. I sighed, as I then slipped on my shoes and yanked my backpack off of my bedroom floor.

I jogged down the stairs and I grabbed my keys off the counter, forgetting to greet my mother and little brother. I got into my car, starting the engine, and was about to back out the driveway until I heard a knock on my window. I rolled my eyes, and unlocked the car doors.

"You should really get your own car." I sassed, driving out the driveway.

"I do, I just...haven't passed my driver's test." Garrett said softly, looking me up and down.

"Ugh, what did you do this time?" I asked him, turning the corner onto the street of the school.

"I ran like four red lights, and I didn't have my seat belt on either." Garrett answered with a shrug.

I rolled my eyes and I drove into the student parking lot of the school. I parked my car closest to the doors, and got out. I walked into the school with Garrett along by my side. I was greeted by my other friends as I simply waved. I got to my locker, only grabbing out my blue English binder.

I walked into my class and sat down at my desk, pondering up into my own thoughts. I was then distracted when my eyes landed upon him. He walked in quickly and sat down on the other side of the classroom, as usual. He wore a slightly over-sized red shirt with classic light blue skinny jeans that were rolled up to the top of his white high-tops.

Ryland looked utterly adorable.

Oops.

Garrett walked in and sat down in the desk next to me. More students rolled in, and the teacher finally came in when the bell rang. She taught the class, while I was getting distracted by the boy sitting next to Ryland. They were exchanged smiles and laughs, and it made my blood boil inside.

"Aw, is someone jealous that Ryland has finally moved on?" Garrett teased, hitting my elbow with his.

"I'm not fucking jealous. I told him to move on.." I said, my words drifting off into the air.
