hopefully, you missed blake ;)
Shane's POV
I snugged up into Blake as he held me close to him while a blanket covered us. Our eyes were glued to the screen that was playing The Perfect Guy. Blake and I hadn't watched it and it seemed a good one to watch since we had spent the whole day having a full on movie marathon.
I got up from the couch to go and get my water when Blake grabbed my hips and pulled me back down. I fell into his lap as he then laid me down flat on the couch. I giggled as he leaned down to kiss me before I leaned up and collided our lips together.
I wrapped my arms around his neck and let my hands play with the back of his hair. I felt Blake smile to the kiss as I smiled too. We pulled away slowly as he then pulled me back up to sit up, and he then looked up to my neck as his eyebrows furrowed at the sight of my necklace that Ryland had gave me.
"What's this?" He asked, taking the the small ring into hand before letting it go gently. "Who gave it to you?"
"Ryland. He let me have it, isn't it beautiful?" I smiled, as I took the ring into my hand as I watched it glisten under the light.
"It is, but can you take it off maybe?" He asked, and I tilted my head at him in confusion. "It just feels weird, you know. I mean, for you to have a necklace another boy gave you and then for me to be kissing you..."
I didn't quite understand him, but I took it off anyways and stuffed it into my pocket. I didn't want to upset Blake on our first week together. He then saw how I was a bit upset to take it off, as he frowned just a bit. He then started to take off his necklace that was around his neck, and held it in front of me.
"Wear this instead." He grinned, placing the necklace around my neck and locking it. "It has my last name on it."
I smiled as I then hugged Blake and he placed a small kiss onto my forehead. I then looked at the time, and I knew I should go back home right now. I start to slip on my shoes as Blake frowns and I just laugh. He ruffled up my hair just a bit, and he then feet up to his lap and starts to tie my shoes.
Once he was done, I got up and fixed my shirt, straightening it out so I don't like a complete mess. We started to walk out the door and a rush of cold air came through the doorway as Blake then reached over to the coat hanger and gave me his dark blue jean jacket that he wore the other day. He then put on me and it smelled exactly like him, and we made our way to the car.
We opened my door for me and he got in himself, turning on the engine and driving off. We listened to Lo-Fi Hiphop as that was more relaxing than the music they were playing on the radio. Blake held my hand the entire time there and we sat in a nice silence and just enjoyed the presence of one another, and not one of us dared to ruin it.
We then arrived at the apartments, and I was about to take off the jacket when Blake shook his head. He then grabbed the collar of the jacket and pulled me into a kiss as I instantly kissed him back. We continued for another couple of minutes or so until we ran out of air. I said my goodbyes to him as he then drove off, and I was left to run up the stairs and opened the apartment door.
Ryland was sitting on the couch with his laptop in his hands. I shut the door as I saw his head turn my way and he has a small smile. I made my way over to him and sat down next to him as I saw that he was reading an article about some news that was happening in the world and he then looked and me. He raised an eyebrow at me as I then tilt my head.
"Did you buy that jacket today?" He asked.
"Oh no, Blake gave it to me. Does it look good on me?" I asked, fixing the collar just a bit since Blake had messed it up in the car.
"Blake?"
"Oh, he's that guy I ran into at the park. I saw him again at the book attic and we kind of just hit it off." I explained, and Ryland had no reaction.
You would think he'd be happy for me.
"Are you two dating?" He asked, and I just nodded and he sighed as his eyes landed upon my neck.
"Don't tell me that he gave you that." He stated, as I then frowned.
"He gave it to me because he didn't like the necklace you gave me." I responded, my eyes looking in all directions. "I still have the necklace though, it's in my pocket."
"Good for you."
That was all he said before he got up off the couch and took his laptop in his hand. He then walked to the bedroom and slammed the door behind him. I frowned, feeling sadness run through me. He wasn't happy for me like I wanted him to be. I didn't understand why, and I don't think I ever will.
