Ryland's POV
{Senior Year}
I Shane - 17 I Ryland - 17 I
It's senior year.
Finally.
Sadly,
Things haven't been the same.
Shane and I haven't talked since our little incident. We pass each other up in the hallways, sit next to each other in class, but never make one single contact with each other.
I actually saw he made new friends. His friends were huge, not like fat, but muscular. He made new lady friends too, and oh I almost forgot.
He got back together with Elle.
They must have settled out their differences, because they seem so much more happier now. They are so much more cuter, and more affectionate. He treats her right, and I'm guessing that's what matters more at this point.
"He told me my essay didn't have enough details, and I was like bitch I tried my hardest on this stupid ass es- are you even listening?" Joey asked me, putting his hands on his hips.
"Huh? Oh yeah..." I said, trying to act like I wasn't zoned out.
Joey then turned and saw that Shane was leaned up against his locker as his friends were by him. His arm was around her shoulder, pulling her close. His laugh was joined into his friends laughs.
"Oh come on, it's been months since you two stopped talking. I thought you'd be over it by now..." Joey said with a little frown on his face.
"I am, it's just hard still. He was my best friend, and I ruined that with my stupid actions." I said, looking down at my feet.
"Oh shush it. You're not over him, because you still care about him... a lot." Joey said. "He'll come running back one day."
"Doubt it." I scoffed, rolling my eyes.
"You should make him jealous by kissing someone, and he'll get somewhat defensive." Joey suggested. "I got a friend that could help you, and Shane will see what he's missed out on."
"Listen, he's a straight boy if you haven't noticed. He's not going to give one fuck if a kiss some other boy." I mumbled.
"Ugh, It's a good idea though!" Joey whined.
I rolled my eyes once again before walking off. Joey stood by my side, continuing to tell me more about his little idea which I didn't really agree with. We walked down the hall, almost passing Shane until someone grabbed my arm. Joey and I both turned to see Elle.
"Hey Ry, I'm having a little bonfire for my birthday next weekend and I'm wanting you and whoever you decide to invite with you to come and have some fun with us." Elle said, motioning her hand to everyone.
"Um, no thanks actually I have something to do, but thank y-"
"We'll be there!" Joey said confidently, as he took the little invitation note and smiled at Elle.
