Though, it still sent the update notification HOURS later after I tried to post. I dont know, but Wattpad recollect yourself and tell me when you're ready to get going, thanks :) (p.s. this will probably take forever to notify so sorry)

Ryland's POV

{Present Time In Story}

Shane - 21 ; Ryland - 21

I opened the apartment door, slipping out my shoes and setting my things down first before going down the hall to the bedroom. I opened it to see Shane sitting on the bed, typing away on his laptop as he looked up and smiled at me. I smiled back at him, and jumped into bed next to him.

"How was work baby?" He asked, looking down at me before placing a kiss on my forehead.

"Fine, I just looked around for some news that they can put out and helped with filming and all that." I answered, sitting up a bit to see what Shane was typing. "What are you working on?"

"My boss gave me an idea for a short film that company wants to produce and they want me to write out the script because I have more 'creativity'" Shane said, shrugging. "Besides, Paul is out for a couple of days so this can be my time to move up."

"What's it about?" I asked, curling up into him along with resting my head on his shoulder.

"Some romantic love story where the boy is into music while the girl is into art and they combine their interests and blah blah blah." Shane answered, rolling his eyes. "It's very cliche let me tell you."

"We all love a good cliche though baby." I giggled, moving his computer out the way to straddle him.

"I love you." I whispered, Shane giggled and leaned his up head just a bit to make our lips meet. "You know, our three year anniversary is coming up..."

"No duh, how could I forget?" Shane said, wrapping his arms around me to pull me even closer into him as he rested his head into my neck. "Should we start making plans or...?"

"Actually, I have some things already planned out for the both of us." I answered, sneaking my arms up to Shane's neck and leaned back down to kiss him. "Come on, let's go make dinner."

I jumped off the bed, and Shane followed me out the room. We searched around the kitchen for what we would like to eat tonight. We weren't that picky, and we could easily agree on anything. "How about breakfast for dinner?" and as expected, Shane agreed immediately. Shane watched me struggle to get down the pancake mix from the cabinet, and he just laughed.

"Let me get it for you, short stuff." He laughed out, as he was able to grab it for me since he was taller and had longer arms that I did.

"Thank you, sweetie." I grinned, grabbing a clean bowl and started to make the mixture.

I added only water as that's all the mixture had called for. I started to mix it all together as then Shane came up behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist and planted a kiss on my neck. He continued to place scattered kisses on my neck, and I wanted to cook so I took some pancake mix and wiped it on Shane's face.

"Really? You ruined a good moment between us." Shane hissed, but showed he wasn't at all mad at me because he gave me a big cheeky smile as he wiped his face with a napkin.

He went to go sit down at the bar stools, and I minded to my cooking. Minutes in, I heard the Bluetooth speaker beep, signaling it was connected to another device. I rolled my eyes, knowing Shane was obviously up to something. Suddenly, soft music came on and I smiled at Shane's choice of genre.

I set the pancake aside, and continued to move the eggs around the pan. I kept watch on the bacon and sausage, but I felt Shane take my hand and swiftly pull me into him. He wrapped his arm around my waist and took the both of our hands up in the air, and shifted us and moved around the kitchen.

"Are you seriously trying to slow dance with me right now?" I asked, a bit of laughter in voice. Shane just smiled, and leaned into my ear.

"I'm just practicing for our wedding, baby." He whispered, as he then kissed my cheek and pulled away from me to spin me around before bringing me back into him. I loved how we was already 'practicing' if we aren't even engaged yet.

"You're so cute." I murmured into his neck, wrapping my arms around his neck but he still swayed us side to side.

"I've been told." He grinned, as he pulled away and kissed me on the lips only for second. "Now, back to the food."

I rolled my eyes playfully, as he just giggled at me, knowing that I much rather continue to dance with him and let the food burn. I finished up the rest of the food, and Shane poured us each fruit punch. I served us both our plates as we went to our bedroom. We sat against our pillows and just watched random shows that caught our eyes on the TV.

We spent more time talking than actually playing attention to the show on the screen, which I preferred. It was always nice to talk to Shane, because he just listen and would always give you his honest input. I loved how he let me talk, and never interrupted, he just heard me out and I heard him out when it was his turn too.

We finished up our food, and Shane took all the dishes to the kitchen, washing them before coming back to the room. I had gotten into more comfortable clothes, and Shane shut the TV off before getting into bed with me. Our arms wrapped around one another, and our legs were intertwined with the others. I was about to doze off until he spoke.

"Wait- shit I need to poop." Shane whined, as he removed himself from our comfortable position, and I just laughed as he ran to the bathroom quickly and shut the door behind him.

I shook my head knowing that that would be the man I would be proposing to in a couple of days. And to be completely honest, I wasn't mad about it.

He was perfect in every way.
