Cause and Effect

Part 24

~Brent~

I recognized the other guy in the car- Dimitri, his name was. I knew those bright green eyes and remembered the way he was dancing with Daniel. What I didn't remember was Daniel looking like he wanted to kill him. I raised a brow at Daniel and he simply glared at me, clearly not wanting to talk about it.

In the front seat, Ally was holding Zander's hand as if it was the only thing holding her to the ground. In all honesty, it might be. Ell was still being grasped by Oliver and I felt a twinge of anger for him being even remotely close to her. He pissed me off immensely, but was slowly earning our trust.

Thinking about Elizabeth, I flashed back to the first time I met her. I had met her while she was with Lilly by literally stumbling into her.

FLASHBACK

The campus is so huge, it is begging to get lost in. Being my first year, I have no clue where I'm supposed to go. I sprinted down the stairs and when I reached the bottom, noticed that my bag was open and I moved to close it. But as soon as my back twisted when I turned a corner, I walked straight into somebody.

Looking up, I got a look at my clumsiness victim. She was beautiful. Her perfect body was amazing enough to stop traffic and her blonde hair seemed to glow in the light. Taking a look at her crystal blue eyes I surprisingly found pure kindness.

I was very good at separating bullshit feelings from true ones, and happy to know that this wasn't bullshit. She giggled while bending down to help me pick up my fallen items. Her golden hair shimmered and bounced as she handed me a notebook.

"I'm so sorry, I'm a klutz." I mumbled, shoving my hair back.

"It's fine! So is Elizabeth." She said nodding her head back to her friend who was also helping me pick up some papers.

"Hi." She greeted. Her brown hair shined and her porcelain doll face turned into a smile. I smiled back.

"I'm Lilly, by the way." She said, holding her hand out.

"I'm Brent. How do you guys know each other?" I asked, standing up with popping knees.

"We went to High School together and just found out that we were going to the same college. Do you know where you're going?" She asked, tilting her head to the side.

"No..."

"Do you want us to walk you?" Elizabeth asked. I nodded.

FLASHBACK ENDED

And so our friendship had started. I was deep in thought of Lilly, imprinting her face in my mind, when the car suddenly stopped and Elizabeth started to ball. Oliver stepped out of the car, leaving Daniel to comfort a very shaking Ell.
