"HE HAS MAGIC. HE was born with it. Arthur...he is Emrys. Morgana's doom and your destiny. He has saved you more times that you can count. He killed Morgose, Morgana, Mordred, Demihru (sorry forgot how to spell it.), most of your foes and more. His father was Balinor, the last dragon lord. But the dragon lord's gift passes down from father to son when the father dies. He drove away the dragons. He won you the battle in camlan. And all those "funny feelings" he had were actually information. Information of your future troubles. You owe him a great debt." Gaius finished.

"Just kill me please!" Merlin begged, desperately.

Arthur shook his head and hugged the raven haired boy. "KILL YOU?! Merlin! How could I kill the man who's saved so many lives!?"

"And killed so many..." Merlin whispered.

Gaius silently shooed everyone out, promising that they'd be able to see him later. "Are you ok, my boy?" He asked him.

Merlin shook his head and sniffled. "He knows now, Gaius. And he accepts me! But I still feel like crap! Shouldn't I be the slightest bit happy?" He asked.

Gaius bit his lip, "I guess so. But no one can tell you what to feel except yourself, Merlin. I have something that may help you with your depression." He offered.

Merlin suddenly perked up, "Really? What is it??" He asked.

Gaius gave him a golden book with a thumb print on it. "Here, put your thumb on the cover and it will show you."

"Show me what?" He asked.

"I don't know. It's magical obviously and is said help with great needs. It will show you what you must know and what you want to know." Merlin nodded, eagerly placing his thumb print onto the book.

Suddenly he was in very bright white place. In front of him was a girl with long, raven black hair and bright blue eyes.

"Where am I?" Merlin asked her.

"Avalon." The girl said.

Merlin suddenly felt happier. "Am I dead?" He asked.

"No." She frowned at his enthusiasm. "Emrys, you have been brought here to say a final goodbye and then you will come with me and I will show you something you must see." She advised. And Merlin could sense that she was having fun with acting so professional. He could tell because she looked to be only nineteen summers old. And young kids often liked acting as though they were older. But looks can be deceiving.

"Who are you?" Merlin asked the girl.

She smiled at this, "I am..." She seemed to be unsure to tell him her name. "...someone from your future. I am, iliak." His future?

Merlin nodded as they were transported to a another place. It was blue everywhere. And there were reflections of people's faces all over the place. Iliak placed her hand on a reflection and all of the people Merlin had lost were suddenly in front of them. Tears pooled all their eyes as they hugged and said their proper goodbyes. When they disappeared, Merlin felt oddly at peace for once. It was an indescribable feeling, really.

Merlin then turned to the young raven head as she said, "Now, there is something you must see." Her voice was solem and fearful, but it held a sort of proudness in it as well.

And she looked familiar to Merlin, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it. "Okay. But before that, I have to ask, have we met before?" He asked her.

She smiled at him, a small smile that reminded Merlin of himself. "No..." She said, "Not yet." Before Merlin could ask what that meant, they were suddenly in the mist of a battle. Then it hit him. She looked like him. Same hair, same eyes. Same pale skin. Except, she had mixed facial features.

"What's happening? Where are we?" Merlin asked. There were Camelotians fighting someone's army. The army had black capes with a golden dragons on them. Merlin didn't know who's army it was though.

"Camelot is at war with the kingdom of Dayoean. Their king is Vivian Le fey. Morgana's son. He is married to Princess Maiya. He will declare war upon Camelot in three days. You must protect Arthur. It is your destiny - Merlin." She said.

Merlin nodded. "And Merlin," She warned, "If you try to escape your Destiny again, I must tell you that, Emrys translates to 'immortal' in the druid tongue." She said this with such disappointment and sadness that merlin felt quite guilty for some reason.

If "I'm sorry, Fa-Merlin." She said, shaking her head.

He nodded solemnly. Of course he couldn't die! The fates just had to ruin his life more than they all ready had, didn't they? But even through his anger, Merlin still caught her slip up. She was about to call him another name..."Fa-."

Hmm...Who was this girl? And why did she look like Merlin?

What time in the future was she from?
