Merlin was dancing with the king! He swayed and turned and swayed again, whilst holding Arthur's hand. Arthur smiled at how happy he was. But then Merlin tripped over air. He fell down and pushed Arthur down too. Their faces were inches away from each other and they both blushed furiously.
"Sorry." Merlin said, face bright red. Arthur couldn't tell if it was because of the closeness between them or the fact that he had pushed him over. The two had been practicing ball dancing as the winter ball was coming up and Arthur admitted albeit embarrassed that he didn't know how. So, Merlin was teaching him.
Merlin knew he should have pushed himself up then helped the king up, but he was too flustered at the moment. Not that Arthur really minded though. Suddenly Arthur spoke up, "Well?"
"O-oh, right." Merlin stumbled to get back up but Arthur pulled him back down.
"No, you idiot." He chuckled, "I meant, well aren't you gonna kiss me yet?"
Merlin laughed as their lips met.
