Arthur rushed to Merlin's side, "Is he ok?" He gushed at the knights.
They all nodded, "Yeah. Percy took the attacker to the cells. And Gaius said he'd give us more information if something changed." Gwaine informed him.
Arthur sighed, relieved. He'd gotton really worried about his servent when he heard that some merchant had put a spell on him and he went unconscious. For a second there Arthur and all the knights had assumed the worst.
Suddenly Gaius burst out of Merlin's room with a shocked face. Immediately Lancelot and Arthur jumped up, "Gaius! What's wrong?" Lance asked him.
Gaius bit his lip and looked at Arthur, "I'm afraid the spell had a purpose after all..." He sighed.
"What purpose?" Leon asked.
"It was an...aging spell if sorts. Merlin is now six summers old. But he is much smarter than his age." Gaius said.
And as if on some sort of cue, Merlin popped out of his bedroom and bounced down the stairs. "Gaius? Who are these people?" Young Merlin asked.
"He doesn't remember us." Gwaine observed, sadly.
"No. He doesn't." Gaius said, "Merlin remembers me because he knew me when he was younger. I have told him that his mother sent him here to help me."
"Hello?" Merlin tried to gain their attention. He didn't really understand what they were talking about. Remember who?
Gaius turned around, just now aknologing his presence. "Merlin...this is King Arthur and his knights, Gwaine, Lancelot and Leon. Persival also, but he is not here right now."
"Okay." Came young Merlin's reply.
