Arthur stomped towards the armory in a fit of rage. Merlin was supposed to be finished with his chores TWO HOURS AGO! And a certain knight *cough* Gwaine *cough* had told him that this was where his useless servant was. But as Arthur was about to push open the door and scream at Merlin for being and incompetent manservant when, he heard singing. Coming from the armory.
The king slowly stepped forward and gently pushed the door open. Merlin picked up two helmets as he sung, "These battle scars....don't look like they're fading.
Don't look they're ever going away....
They ain't ever going to change
Oooh, never gonna let a wound ruin me
But it feel like ruins-"
"You can sing?!"
Merlin's head jolted up in shock and he dropped the helmets, clattering to the floor. When did Arthur get here...? Why was he here...? Hmm....Oh, no! I didn't finish my chores! Crap. "I, uh, well...you see...I, um, I don't know what your talking about." Was Merlin's intelligent reply, as he began picking up the armour.
"Don't lie to me Merlin, I heard you. Since when can you sing? And where did you hear that song...? I've never heard it before." Arthur questioned.
Merlin fingered his red neckerchief, he couldn't lie to Arthur, he knew that. Not this time. The king was staring at him intensely. "I-I, um, I've always been able to sing. And I...ah...I just made that song up. It's not even a song really...just my thoughts and stuff, just words..."
Arthur furrowed his brows in confusion. His thoughts?
"Uh, well I still have chores to do...So...see ya, prat!" And with that, Merlin raced out of the armory.
