Quick note before I start, this book is #158 in horror as I type this. It'll very likely rise or drop in ranking soon, but thank you for all your support!

Weaknesses, oh weaknesses, where are you? Not many people have a problem with creating weaknesses, but when someone struggles, they struggle, and it's fine. Here's some pointers for creating weaknesses for your OC!

1. Make it valid - An important part of weaknesses is realizing if it truly is one. Double check to make sure that the weakness(es) you give your OC are true, and genuine.

2. Think of how it would work - Not only should you make sure your OC's weakness valid, but thinking about the consequences and how it would affect your character is important too! If they were exposed to...say for example, they are slow at reacting and got caught, think about how they'd react when confronted by their weakness as well. It'll solid it up!

3. Balance it - A strength can easily contradict a weakness, and a weakness can also contradict a strength. Don't make the weakness ironic or impossible, according to the strengths. Also balance it out with your OC's personality. If they are a generally soft person, then something relating or linking back to that would be a balanced weakness. Don't make the weakness you give your OC random and contradicting, try and look at the strengths and overall personality as well.

4. Make sure it's not just for show - This more or less just applies to those who want to roleplay with or write about their OC. If your OC has a weakness or two, which they very much should, put it to action! Don't just let the weakness mindlessly sit there, not affecting your character. Put it into action sometimes.

Sorry for the short-ish chapters lately. My mental health has been shitty recently and I'm getting more busy towards Christmas. I intend to continue publishing a chapter on my said routine, but I'm sorry if one comes out late in the future! We're over halfway until Christmas so I'm excited too. See you in the next chapter.
