Bit late, but happy Halloween! I hope everyone had a good one but if you didn't celebrate, then I hope you have a good day!

Creepypasta really states clearly how the characters are supposed to be scary and creepy. Have you noticed that even after these explicit unspoken words, creators still make their OCs all damn cute?
...
It's Creepypasta! Make your OC scary, freaky, creepy, or intimidating. Oversized sweaters (*cough* love them *cough*) and scuffy sneakers are not scary. And what's with all the nekos? That's ridiculous honestly, you think that's scary? No. Not intimidating at all. Consider the following...totally not a Bill Nye reference.

Things to take into consideration when making your OC creepy or intimidating

1. Drugs
Ok, so, before you think, "What the f*ck?" THE TITLE FOR THIS POINT ISN'T SUPPOSED TO BE WEIRD. Don't do drugs kids. Also, not intended to offend those who do drugs, not everyone that takes them is scary and crazy.
So many people include drug addicts in their Creepypasta stories but never take good advantage of it. Drugs are usually used as an excuse for abuse and mean people who seemingly have no motive, and it's a bit tiring to see everywhere. While drugs are a good way to warp someone's mind, it's used in such a lazy way most of the time. Same with alcohol. Use it well, consider more than just addictive. Not even that, most people make their OC's parents drug addicts or alcoholics and just make them mean, ignoring the side affects. It changes their appearance as well as their behaviour most of the time. Sunken in eyes, long fingernails, yellow teeth, a lanky walk, unkempt hair...all of those can relate to addicts. Don't use drugs as a lazy excuse for mean people, use them well and consider the sides affects for behaviour, it's very menacing sometimes.

2. Looks
Stop with the perfect looks! It's Creepypasta, I'm sick of seeing perfect skin and perfect bodies, your OC is a killer! Killers are on the run nearly their whole life and when they get caught, they aren't sexy at all. If you're on the run, you won't have time to buy personal hygiene products. Just the filthy look of your OC could be scary enough, but add some more menace! This. Is. Creepypasta.
Killers lurking and murdering the innocent ones who roam too late at night, wallowing in the forest, awaiting a rush of adrenaline to allow them to work up the energy to kill again. It's like a high to them, burning sensations of blood on their hands as they keep silent on the outside. Their faces are distorted through your dimming vision, but you can faintly see the disgusting skin covering their bones and cold heart. That is what a murderer is. They are unattractive, both in mind, body, and soul. Even if it's not intentional, nearly everyone creates a somewhat nice looking OC. At least specify the flaws of them. Though, freckles or moles are not flaws! Stop with that bullsh*t! My face is noticeably coated with freckles and I have a few moles too, so does that make me (particularly) unattractive? Not really. It's not my freckles and moles that look gross. I don't care if you dislike your freckles, they aren't a flaw. Sure you can include it but I don't consider it a flaw. Other flaws need to be genuine! Don't lazily throw in "flaws", be serious about it. Killers don't even have access to most hygiene products. Keep that in mind.

3. Demeanour/behaviour
Soooooo many OCs have a very annoying base personality.
- insane
- mean but sometimes nice
- literally nothing else
I guess it's ok to build off of this, but do not keep it this way! OCs and canon Pastas usually have these elements but do you really think that's all that goes into developing personality? I'm not trying to be harsh, and this is getting rant-y, but it's so f*cking lazy! Build off of your character's environment, home life, basic personality aspects, and literally everything else they encounter. I'll talk about this much more in the next chapter (it's about personality) so I won't say much about the basics but remember your OC is a killer. This needs to be understood by fans because these cute and fluffy OCs nearly ruined what I joined the fandom for. What might that thing be?
Horror.
This is a horror fandom. This actually goes over lots of people's heads, even my own at times. Make your OC scary, that's what this fandom is starving of. The fear and chills that run up your spine as you read a Creepypasta story, the realization that you actually might have always been being watched, that is Creepypasta.
Keep your OC's personality logical and creepy, not cute or funny. Give them a threatening demeanour, a side tone of being incredibly dangerous and creepy. Make sure of it, you would not want to be friends with your OC!

4. Cut out any sort of romance
Cut this out right now, don't even think about those pairings! Killers very likely wouldn't even be turned on by or attracted to someone, let alone be in any sort of relationship.
"But Araaaah, Jeff kidnapped my OC and is obsessed with her, it's not her fault nor is it even really a relationship!"
I'm going to stop you right there. Really? First of all, I don't care how strong Jeff is, your OC should be strong enough to escape or avoid getting kidnapped. She's a killer. Second, so freaking many Creepypasta fanfictions involve that sappy sh*t and it's more disturbing than Creepypasta characters could ever be. They. Don't. Love. They kill. I understand some people might find Jeff hot or something but don't make an OC solely to be friends with or in a relationship with any canon Pasta. Doesn't even matter if your OC is the bomb diggity, super 10/10 amazing character, it's not right to do.
No romance allowed in this fandom. It's not right, and ruins the meaning and name of Creepypasta entirely.

Ahaha, so that turned into a but of a rant but I mean everything I said here, creepy is what you should be aiming for! Remember what Creepypasta truly is, feed only creepy-ness to the long lost fandom! :D
Again, it's 2 days late but hope everyone had a great Halloween! If you don't celebrate then I hope you had a good day.
