Weapons

Every Creepypasta needs some kind of weapon or a killing style. Knives probably first come to your mind, and while that is an iconic and moderately effective killing tool, it's done to death and very closely linked to Jeff. Do not use a knife as a weapon, unless it's uniquely modified or something. A weapon should be an easy to use, effective tool. If you're a serial killer, would you use your bare hands to do everything? I kind of doubt it. While many OCs don't have a weapon, make sure not to make your OC overpowered because of the fact they don't have a weapon. How can they be OP without a weapon? Powers and other sh*tty excuses, of course! Make the weapon original, uncommon, or new, but at the same time don't try to hard.

Some Weapon Input

Knives- Hell no! Back away from the Jeff ripoffs and cliches please. Like I said in another chapter, I believe it was the last one, so many people rip him off! Stop! For Gods sake, don't be so unoriginal. I may be contradicting myself here, but I'm OK with some knives but it's really walking on eggshells and it can go bad easy. At least modify it or something. Also, blades get dull and would need to be sharpened as well. You can risk having a knifu as a weapon, but be super cautious when entering that territory.

Swords- I actually don't like this weapon a lot. A sword, in the 21st century? (Side note, I actually don't really know for sure what century it is. I might've gotten that wrong. I'm actually kind of bad with the concept of time, not knowing what time or day it is almost all the time. I love the idea of time and think it's immensely important and praise-worthy but I constantly question the century. I'm definitely not intellectually challenged and there's nothing wrong with those who are, but sorry for that XD I just can't grasp it without reassurance.) It's not the medieval times! I've never seen a real sword in the modern era, nor do I think you could easily obtain one even if you wanted one or were in the military. If your OC is an at least century old ghost, then there you go, you could have a sword as a weapon. But be careful with the time period when choosing a sword as your weapon. It's not super easy to obtain one now a days. Plus you must be well trained to use one well, and train your skills it requires to even hold. It wouldn't even be easy to fight with, let alone regularity kill with.

Guns- Ick...I'm also iffy about this. I'm nitpicking here, but do you have any idea how hard it'd be to get away with killing with a gun? It is a gun. Do you know what happens when you shoot it? BANG. It's really loud. And you gotta reload it occasionally. Also, another con, good luck keeping the ammo to kill with a gun, when you're hiding or on the run. I mean, you can definitely use this as a good weapon, but be careful. The main Pastas (Jeff, BEN, LJ, EJ, and etc) are known for using blades or other weapons, and for getting away with some BS, they are very well thought out and don't use a gun for a reason. Be careful, know your guns to use them.

Scythes- Nope...I'm quite picky, but this doesn't take much explaining to justify my hate for it. I've seen tons of anime characters with these as a weapon, and I love it! I adore anime and the typical fantasy scythes (I fricking love weapons and combat in general, and I'll stop before I go on a tangent, but yeah...) and their wielders, but it never works out in realism. Do you know much unbalanced that would be? A large stick with a giant blade on it would knock you over before you could aim well enough to bruise someone. Mini scythes would be more practical, but it still is a sucky weapon in realism and Creepypasta. Scythes in general would just be terrible weapons. They're unbalanced/uneven, typically known to be oversized, inefficient, and impractical. I've seen some sneaky creators try to give their OC a scythe as a weapon, and got away with it by defying and ignoring logic, but don't think I won't notice if you give your OC an impractical weapon. I'm a huge nitpick at psychology, weapons, and design. A bit of slack will be allowed in some departments of the OC making, but those are just because of opinions. Scythes suck as a realistic weapon. End of story.

Bare hands- Alright, so you either don't want to make a weapon, or your OC is skilled enough, that's fine. Not much to say on this, just make sure they have a practical reason for how they kill. No excessive spoopy magic and stuff.

Poisons- Ah, the glorious silent killer. This is more on the common one to use but it hasn't been done to death yet. Make sure to know how different poisons really affect people when they are given small or large doses. I don't care a ton about the accuracy, but if you decide to name the poison then make sure you have research done to back it up.

This is a slightly shorter chapter, but weapons are still important to making a good Creepypasta OC.
Have a good day/night everyone!

(this was supposed to be posted after the quick A/N, but it got mixed up because I wrote this after but posted the A/N before, if that makes sense. Sorry for confusion!)
