I'm publishing my first review and this chapter today, so yeah. I'll upload every 2-ish days still but today I'll get this off the plate then I'll get into schedule. Enjoy!

Woo-wee the fun part! I mean, lots of people find this part of creating a character difficult, but it can be really fun. Here you can let your creativity flow, and experiment with your control over the realistic and fantasy parts. This section of this book is dedicated to all characters, Creepypasta or not.
One of my favourite ways to come up with names is by adding vowels to a keyboard smash. This only really works well with fantasy characters, but you can lessen it for other genres too. It's super fun to do too, try it out if you'd like.

Ex. hjv - Hajev  or gy - Giya

Another fun way to come up with names is by mashing two adjectives or nouns together. I can't give a good example that isn't cringe worthy, but this is fun for bizarre names. You can add a vowel like a or  i at the end to make it sound less weird.

Ex. Doctor + Treehouse = Docouse or Cat + music = Cusica

Some Tips and Tricks for Naming Characters

1. Make sure it fits the genre

If you're trying to come up with a name for a high fantasy character, then let your mind flow! If it's simply low fantasy or science fiction, tone it down a tiny bit. Names for regular fictional characters could be normal or a little bit more uncommon. A good way to tone down a unique or bizarre name is by adding a generic last name, or make the first name generic and last name unique. If you are going for a realistic and relatable story, just make the names moderately normal sounding. Just make sure the names aren't odd for your genre, and you're good to go!

2. Look at other names and characters

Lots of authors stick to cooping themselves up and lots also get out and adventure for inspiration. Both have advantages, and both have disadvantages. You need to write to actually become a writer, but you also have to get out. You aren't going to get anywhere if you're too far on one end of the scale. Look at names from the same genre for inspiration, without blatantly copying them. If you're going for a super realistic or somewhat realistic story, then meet some new people and look at their names for inspiration. You get writing skill points and social skill points.

3. Listen to music while writing

This sounds weird, but it can fuel your motivation. I might make a chapter next about advice for focusing and motivating yourself while writing and this might pop up again. I think some people might find this distracting but lots will find this comforting and motivating. It can be quite motivating and empowering. It can also give you an idea for names, because musicians convey stories in their songs and those stories can make your wind wander, and give ideas for names.

4. Make sure it fits their culture and race

I get that some Spaniards, for example, may name their kids something American if they live in the US, and that's completely fine. Those of a different race than people born in the country they live in may name their kids a name that is foreign to them. I do recommend using some kind of name that fits their race, though. Creepypasta is what I consider science fiction, but it does follow many aspects of realism. Keep it somewhat realistic for their race and nationality.

Creepypasta Names

All Creepypasta OCs and characters have two names. Their birth/given name and their Creepypasta name. Some OCs use their first name as their CP name but not all do, and it's fun to come up with one! Here are a few tips for coming up with a CP name.

1. Make sure it has an explanation

Don't just throw a cool sounding name at your OC, make sure it has some reason behind it. I'm tired of seeing characters with random CP names like, "Iron Rose" or, "Blood Orange" for absolutely no reason. Give a backstory for your character and their name. It can be as simple as a nickname or as complex as a sum up of their backstory.

Ex. (This is a work in progress OC of mine so yeah...don't steal???) A serial killer named Serena kills in groups of five every spree, so her CP name is Five.

If your CP name doesn't have any relevance to your OC, then scrap it.

2. Don't make it too extravagant or weird

CP names are fun to come up with but if it's super long and ridiculous, then it defeats the point of your OC. CP names are used as an identifier in case your OC needs to give out a fake name, or to protect their identity. Your OC may even get named as this in the news. Don't make it something your OC wouldn't want to be known as. I mean, really, would you want to hear someone call you "Family Killer" or "Blood Leaker"???? Probably not. Even if you changed it to abbreviations, BL sounds like BLT. Now I'm hungry. And FK sounds like...a curse word...yeah, no, scrap those! Don't make it too weird or awkward, make sure it's something that you know someone would be at least ok with being called. Also, for those using foreign names and words as the CP name, make sure you can actually say it! If you can't pronounce your OC's CP name, it's longer than three words, or it's awkward, then you probably shouldn't use it.

3. NO stealing names

Guys. Please. Do not make your OC's name include:

- The Killer

- Drowned

- Ticci

- Eyeless

- Laughing

Or anything else already used by canon Pastas. It's overused, and dumb. Unoriginality at its finest. Also don't make your OC a sibling or relative of a canon Pasta. That's a line we do not cross. Be original and rational with your names.

That was actually a fun chapter to write, I recommend listening to Devil Went Down to Georgia, it's got a thrilling story and it's empowering somehow. Hopefully this chapter was useful!
