CHAPTER 29
"Dude, you are doomed." Pagdidiin ni Kent sa sinabi.
Nasa loob na sila ng restaurant at kumakain habang nag uusap-usap. Yun agad ang unang narinig na reaksyon na galing sa kaibigan ni Raimer. Di pa nakapagsalita si Mike at nabulonan naman ng iniinom na iced tea si Jason.
"They are stricter. Taking extra precautions." Komento ni Mike.
"So when would the investigation start? We're also excited of what we'll figure out about her. " Tanong ni Jason habang sumusubo ulit ng inorder na ribs.
"No investigation would take place." Seryusong sabi ni Raimer sa mga kaibigan. Kanina pa siya huminto sa pagkain dahil nakatuon ang pag iisip niya sa kung anong dapat gawin.
"So you'll take the other way.." Mike stated obviously.
"Yes. The only other way." He nodded.
"Bro, nagiging masyadong mabait ka na ata." Pagsasalungat ni Kent. "This is your chance to know her better and to unravel the mystery of Faith Fajarah. And no doubt that we'll figure out everything coz we all know your parents will hire the best detectives or private investigators in town or in the country if they want to."
"It just doesn't felt right." He replied. "Yeah i want to know her. We all are. But not in that way. Masyado na nating pinapakialaman ang buhay niya."
"Bro, you're acting like your twin. Ang Rain na kilala namin ay walang pakialam sa tama o mali. Basta gusto niya ay ginagawa niya." Umiiling pa na saad ni Kent.
"I'm not acting like Raimer. Faith is just different. She's not like everyone."
"Yeah because you have feelings for her."
"Enough, you two." Pagsaway ni Mike sa sagutan nina Kent at Raimer.
"Rain's right. We should understand that he won't let his parents do that to his dear Faith." Pagsasalita na rin ni Jason. "Masyadong boring din if we just get to know her in that way. It's much more exciting if will figure her out ourselves."
Natahimik ang lahat. Napaisip sa susunod na gagawin.
"Hindi mo pa nga siya naliligawan pero ipapakilala mo na sa future in-laws niya." Jason said, amused. Natawa naman sila. "Hanip ka bro. Bilis ng diskarte mo. Wala na siyang kawala niyan. She'll be on your parent's radar."
Kung tutuosin, medyo bumigat ang pakiramdam niya sa naging topic na nila ngayon. Ang kasalan. He wanted to marry Michell because she's the woman he love the most. Pwede ng mangyari yun dahil sigurado siyang pakakasalan siya nito. But not him. Will never be him. Because he's Rain for everybody. Siya si Rain para kay Michell. He wanted her to love him as who he really is.
"Kailan nga ba alis ng parents mo?" Tanong ni Mike.
"This weekend. After the funeral." Mas naging bumigat ang nararamdaman niya. His own body would be burried. He can't come back, wala siyang alam na paraan kung paano.
"Today is Thursday. So bukas mo dapat ipakilala si Faith."
"A commoner will meet the Azarcon majesties. There should be a grand ball to complete the event." Pagpapagaan ni Jason sa usapan.
"You should talk with Faith today so she ca be prepared for tomorrow." Sabat ni Kent.
"As if Faith would agree to it." Mike pointed out the obvious. They all groaned. For now that's their biggest problem.
