As soon as I got to school the first person I saw was Gabe. Her name is Gabriela but everyone calls her Gabe. She's my other best friend besides Alex and Savi. She wore a white shirt and a flowing sea blue skirt. She had her hair up in a ponytail as usual and it was bouncing merrily with her as she skiped along. Her long hair looked as if it were a black river. I rushed over to her and she gave me her brightest smile to match her laughing hazel eyes. Strange how her eyes seemed to have a light gray border. She walked me to my homeroom class and went to meet up with Savi. When Savi saw me she smiled and waved me over, but when she saw Gabe she scowled. Gabe and Savi didn't really like each other, but they put up with one another for my sake. I'm happy that they would do that for me, but I wish they would get along. Before Gabe could say anything Savi asked me "Hey Gienelle are you free after school? A couple of my friends and I were planning on going to Hell's Gateway."

Gabe scoffed and said "Of course you would go there. You people just sit on your butts getting yourselves drunk or abuse drugs. Am I right? Gienelle you're too smart for that! Would you rather go to the theater with me?"

Savi rolled her eyes and looked ready to hit someone. She opened her mouth to say something back to Gabe, but I interrupted her and said "I'm sorry! You guys I would love to go hang out with you guys, but I can't. I have to go to the library after school to get a book for Ms.Rodriguez's English class."

Savi looked disappointed and began to pout and said "Can't you just ditch the assignment?"

Gabe responded "Your way of thinking is what will be the death of you. Gienelle ignore this dead beat and do a good job on your paper!"

Savi looked as though she was a bomb that just went of and began to argue with Gabe by yelling at her. As Savi was yelling at her Gabe kept her cool while insulting her at the same time. I laughed at the sight of their bickering. The girls stopped arguing and looked at me in confusion. They were still glaring at each other but kept talking to me. It wasn't a lie when I said I needed to go to the library, but i was planning on going tomorrow. I suddenly remembered today was Thursday and I was supposed to hang out with Alex at lunch. I invited the girls to come with and the happily agreed to come.

At lunch I meet up with Alex at the softball field. He looked highly annoyed when he saw I brought Savi and Gabe. He didn't have anything against them but I knew he thought it was just going to be the two of us. I just couldn't handle being alone with Alex just yet. We talked and ate snacks that Alex and Savi brought. Gabe refused to eat anything that was provided by Savi and kept trying to keep me from eating it too but, we had fun during our lunch break.

Alex was waiting by my classroom door after the last bell rang. He smiled when he finally saw me come out. He called out to me.

He came running up to me and said "Hey want to walk home together?"

I felt bad that I couldn't walk with him. I looked at him and before I said anything he gave out loud sigh and said "You're busy aren't you?"

I slowly nodded my head and looked away from him because his fangirls were headed our way. Alex sighed again and said "Can I at least walk you half way?"

I shook my head and before he could ask why, one of his fans called out to him. Soon enough he was surrounded by a lot of them. I continued walking with a shadow cast over my face. I was lost in thought and before I realized it I arrived at the library. It took me about twenty minutes to find the right book. The only problem was that it was on the top shelf. At times like these I really hated how short I was. I stood on my toes and stretched my arm as far as could, but I could barley touch it. I lost my balance and began to fall back, but someone's warm arms caught me. I had my eyes closed and slowly opened them. I saw a guy who couldn't have been older than sixteen. He had fair white skin that looked as if it belonged to girl. He had soft, kind eyes and his brown hair tickled my face. He was, extremely handsome In my book.

He signed relief  and almost whispered "That was close. You should be more careful. Are you hurt anywhere?"

His voice was almost as beautiful as his face. His eyes were the most odd shade of gray, but in a good way. I realized I was still in his arms and quickly tried to sit up, but as soon as I did a sharp pain shot up my left arm from my wrist. I flinched at the pain and he looked concerned.

He gently grabbed my left arm and said "Tell me where it hurts."

I nodded and said in the quietest voice I've ever spoken in "My wrist. I think I sprained it."

He examined my wrist and gently massages it. It hurt momentarily but it began to feel better. When he saw I was no longer in pain he got up and got the book I was trying to get.

He helped me up and said "You will be find just take a rest. If you like I'll watch over you while you sleep on the grass. I'm Cam by the way."

His smile was breath taking and I almost forgot to reply.

I said "Nice too meet you. I'm Gienelle and I would appreciate the look out."

We checked out my book and then went to lie on the grass. I couldn't believe I actually took him up on his offer. I glanced at him and saw that he was staring at me. I look again and he didn't bother to hide the fact that he was staring.

He smiled gently and said "if you like, feel free to use my arm as a pillow."

I hesitated at first because I thought he was just teasing me, but he looked serious. I scooted closer and gently rested my head on his arm. He was so warm and it felt very comfortable. I slowly closed my eyes. He began to gently run his fingers through my hair. Before I knew it I was asleep and had nothing but sweet dreams. The only thing strange thing was that a white bird kept following me no matter what I did. It might have been a dove, but I'm not sure.

When I awoke I was still in Cam's arms and he had fallen asleep to. The sun was setting and I needed to get hone, but I didn't want to leave his warmth. I look upon his sleeping face and I couldn't help but touch his cheek. After I took my hand back his eyes slowly flickered open. We both sat up and he stretched out.

I told him "I'm sorry. Did your arm fall asleep? I'm also sorry for the trouble."

He looked at me surprised then I got up and began to walk away. I only took two steps before he got up too and grabbed me by my arm. He said "You never once caused me trouble and I'm fine. Instead of saying I'm sorry try saying thanks instead."

"....Thanks...." I said shyly

He laughed then he looked around the empty lot of the library and sighed.

He looked my way and said "Let's nap together again sometime. That was the best sleep I've ever had. For now let me walk you home."

I smiled and said "Sure to walking me home and napping."

He smiled back and said "Great! So let's exchange numbers."

I nodded and we pulled out our phones to exchange numbers then we began to walk. We talked about movies on the way home. Even though I was acting normal my heart was pounding in my chest. I was so overwhelmed by the fact that we slept together. He even wanted to do it again. I'm so lucky today and maybe I might finally be able to get rid of my unrequited love for Alex. We said our final goodbyes and he promised to text me tomorrow.
