Falling for them all

Battle's begun

We arrived at the place they said to wait and I sat down on a nearby stump. James walked over and put his hand on my head.

"Don't worry because I'll be there to protect you" he smiled

I smiled the bursted out laughing. He looked at me in confusion.

"What? What's so funny?" he asked

"You're trying to act knightly now? You James?" I laughed

He frowned and I stopped laughing.

I suddenly turned serious and said "You know I've noticed you started to show more emotion with me"

"What do you mean?" he asked

"You always used to have that stupid poker face of yours..... but now I can say I've seen you smile and frown." I said

He stayed quiet and looked at me. I turn to face the ground.

"I can honestly say that I love your smile..... and I wish you would do it more often" I say without looking at him

"Gien-" he began but was interrupted by yells coming from one direction

"TAKE US TO THE JEWEL FOUL ANGELS!" cried a voice

"YOU WANT HER? YOU'LL HAVE TO CATCH ME FIRST!" I heard Evan call back

From the other side I heard someone yell "FOUL DEMONS! I SHALL NOT LET THE LIKES OF YOU TAINT THE COLORED JEWEL!"

"YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE TO BEAT ME TO HER THEN!" yelled Savi

In another I heard someone yell "REVEAL THE JEWEL TO US!"

"THE JEWEL IS OURS!" I heard Mark say

We got ready as we saw everyone come one by one. They emerged from the woods and rushed over to us. The sky filled with Archangels, Demons, and Reapers. Then with battle crys they charged at each other with their weapons. Some of them snuck away from the battle to come charging at us.

"Get ready! Here they come!" yelled Luke

Luke, Evan, and Savi took to the sky and held off as many as they could. Some of the got past but we were completely prepared. I called my hell's fire and it took form of whips. Alex and Mark were defending each other back to back on my right side. Gabe and James were defending my left side. I was surprised by a charging Demon and slightly panicked.

"Gienelle catch!" cried Luke throwing me a sword

I catch the sword and my hell's fire immediately engulf the sword with it's flame. I swung at the demon and he burnt to ash. I take a closer look at the familiar looking sword. It had a pair of x's crossing eachother on the handle. I ran my fingers up the blade. I saw that it had a cross on it's blade. I got too distracted and a reaper had snuck up behind me with his sife raised.

"Watch out!" cried Mark as he jumped to save me

The reaper had sliced deeply into his chest. Quickly snapping out of it, I swung my sword at the reaper. He Burt to ash and I kneeled next to Mark. He was a bloody mess and I didn't know what to do. My healing powers wouldn't be enough to save him from an injury that deep or at least not in time. I felt tears slide down my face as I held him to my chest.He coughed up lots of blood and could hardly breathe.

"G-gienelle... don't you .....f-forget what I said.... I-I'll ... always ... l-love you..... and .... I... h-hope that... whatever choice y-you make.... h-he'll make you happy.... or e-else ill h-haunt him" he said smiling  weakly

"Yeah and I'll name one of my boys after you when I have children..... so I can be reminded of you always" I sobbed

"Don't l-let them control y-your life" he said coughing up more blood

"I won't.... I promise" I said and held him closer to me and the sounds of war around ne drowned out as I focused on Mark

His breath slowed and he began to close his eyes. My eyes blurred with tears and held him even closer. He then became motionless and no longer breathed. These idiots have taken away the people I loved most. Cam,Vincent, my parents, and now Mark was also taken from me. I was no longer sad but angry that they did this. I felt myself sinking into the darkness and I was engulfed by my hell's fire. I gently placed Mark down. I stood up and I had completely welcomed the darkness.
