I unfurled my wings and flew past the trees. I turn my head back to make sure I wasn't being followed and crashed into someone. I looked up and saw Cam. He was covered in blood.
"Cam! What happened!" I panicked
"I went to go find you and I got attacked by demons." he said
"Alex is also a candidate! He is a demon!" I say
"Took you long enough to figure it out!" said Cam
"What?" I say confused
"It was the reason I hung out with him so much. I wanted to keep an eye on him but I don't think he knows he is a demon."
"Where's everyone else?" I asked
"We split up after sending your parents to the hospital."
"They're okay?"
" Yeah they're okay"
"Oh thank good- Ah!"
Cam had pushed me out of the way just as a demon had his claws in his chest. Cam screamed in pain.
"Cam!" I yelled
"Further death can be avoided" said the demon as he ripped out Cam's heart and his body fell to the floor
I ran over to Cam with tears running down my face. Cam was gone. His body faded into light and vanished.
"This war can be avoided! If it weren't for your selfishness of not loving them." sneered the demon
"Shut up! I love all of my friends but just not in that way!" I screamed
"Well I'll make sure you don't have a choice!" He yelled back and flew off
I took to the sky to find the others before the others got hurt too.
