Falling for them all

The Truth

I awoke to a familiar scene. I was inside Vinney's Church. I sat up and saw two figures next to the alter. One of them had long black braided hair that reached his waist, red with gold bordered eyes that looked as if they belonged to a snake, and he looked familiar. The other figure I recognized instantly. It was the same guy who attacked me. I quickly got up, but sat back down because a sharp pain went through my neck and chest. I groaned in pain and the two men looked at me. It wasn't until I heard the long haired man speak that I recognized Vinney.

"Gienelle! How are you feeling? Just try not to move and stay calm."

They began to walk over but I got up, ignoring my pain I backed away. Vinney put his hands up and said "Calm down. Everything is ganna be fine. Nobody is going to hurt you. I won't let him."

I kept backing away and practically screamed "Just keep that weirdo away from me!"

My attacker spoke up half annoyed "Hey! This weirdo has a name you know! My name is James!"

I looked at Vinney and asked "Are you really Vincent?"

He smiled and said "What? Don't you recognize your own brother?"

I shook my head and replied "Your eyes......."

He laughed and said "Oh that! I usually wear color contacts to hide my eyes. I know it's a lot to take in, but please just trust me."

I nodded and even though I was in pain, I ran into his arms. He pet my head and said "Careful, you haven't fully healed. Let me explain everything, but you have to stay calm."

I nodded then he sat down with me. James leaned against the bench in front of us. Vinney sighed and began to explain.

"Gienelle.... Maria and Jack aren't your birth parents. They took you in from a stranger who was beat up and he asked them to take care of you. Your birth Father was a demon, but not just any demon. He is the son of Lucifer and he fell in love with your mother, who was an Angel. They were the Romeo and Juliet of Heaven and Hell. When the archangels found out they gave her a trial, but they all agreed she should be cast out of heaven. She fell and later found out that she was pregnant."

I interrupted "I thought angels couldn't get pregnant."

James replied "If she was pregnant, then does that mean she is a first generation angel?"

I was confused and repeated "First generation angel? "

Vincent nodded and continued "They were one of the first angels god created. They were obviously full of imperfections and were able to reproduce. Out of the children god hand picked two children angels to populate the earth. Your mother never mated with anyone until she met your father. She hid herself and your father came to secretly visit her. When you were born, I was entusted to help your mother even though I was only four."

I was shocked to learn that he was there for me even as a baby. I think I just gained more confidence that I can trust Vincent.

He paused for breath and had a sad looked in his eye as he continued "After about a month the archangels found out about you. Your father protected us and was badly injured. Your mom pretended to have you in her arms and ran away. The archangels chased after her and your dad was about to do the same, but I stoped him and showed him I had you. He told me to always keep an eye on you and to never contact them again.He took you and ran off in the opposite direction. After about six years, I finally found you, but you had a fake family. I watched you for a few days and realized that this must be part of your father's plan to keep you safe. Over the years I kept watch over you and kept reapers like him away from you."

James faked looking hurt and replied "Excuse me, but ill have you know I am not like most reapers! Anyway what's my deal huh?"

Vincent sighed and said "Help me protect her by enrolling into her high school and if her powers overlap he sanity..... then you can have her soul."

I asked "What powers? You didn't mention anything about powers."

James laughed and replied "If your part angel and part demon, its only obvious you have some type of power. Angels can heal the wounded, mentally influence others, glimpse the future, and surpress evil. Demons can Cause natural disasters, Mentally comunicate, and since your daddy is prince you probably have hell's fire. Its fire that only burns your enemies and keeps your allies safe even if they're in the way."

I was dumbfounded and had no words. I was part angel and part demon? I have powers? This is all too much for my mind to wrap around.

James and Vincent exclaimed at the same time and said "Oh! You can also heal fairly quickly."

They looked annoyed at eachother. I looked at my wound and it was only a minor cut now. I laughed and then said "Vinney, thanks for always taking care of me. James I'll be happy if you accept Vinney's offer. You seem like the kind of person who you'll like after getting to know you."

Vincent and James looked surprised at what I said. James smiled and said "Well I don't know about your theory there, but I guess I accept the offer."

Vincent replied "Great. Oh, I have an idea! Why don't you pretended to be her boyfriend she met online and you moved here."

Boyfriend? Go out with him? I then I remembered Cam asking me out. Then I shyly spoke up "Um........ Vinney I actually........ told someone I would consider going out with him."

He looked surprised and replied "You were asked out while I was gone!? Was it Alex?"

I got angry at the fact that he was surprised I got asked out and yelled "Hey! What's so surprising about me being asked out!? I can get a guy if I wanted to. Anyway why did you think it was Alex?"

He laughed and replied "Doesn't matter. Just reject the kid and say your crush asked you out and he happened to have moved to your school. I'll be his guardian and such."

James and I sighed and looked at eachother and then hus voice resonated in my head as he said Why not? It'll make it easier for me to keep an eye on you. Oh and in public I'll talk to you through your head and I can hear you responses. So get used to it.

I sighed and said "Fine I'll date him. Right now we got to go to dinner and introduce your new son. It's only 5:36"

They noded and then we got up and began to walk out of the church. I check my phone to see that Cam and Alex texted me. I opened Cam's text and it read:

Gienelle I was thinking if you wanted to go to the park.

I sighed then opened Alex's text and it read:

G sry for oveoverreacting its just cuz im worried about you

I texted Cam saying I had plans and Alex saying I forgive him. We went back to my house and my parents were surprised to meet James but soon accepted it. They welcomed him mainly because Vincent is so trustworthy in my parents eyes.
