Birds of a feather

I was walking down an alley as. the sun began to set. I saw a figure hunched over on the ground. I slowly walked closer and called out to him "Hey! Are you ok?"

He turned to face me and his face was covered in blood. I quickly ran over to help him, but then someone grabbed my wrist. I turned to find Cam starting at me "What the hell are you doing here?"

"I-I-I.... "

"Doesn't matter. I need to get you out of here."

"But that guy needs help"

"what guy?"

I turned to point him out but he was no longer there. "But he was just here."

His expression softened and said "I see. Either way I need You to come with me. we began to walk away, but I then remembered James warning. I pulled my hand away and slowly backed away. what about him? why is he here? He turned around to face me and was surprised. "What's wrong? " he asked

He walked closer to me but I kept backing away from him and yelled "STAY AWAY FROM ME!"

Confused he asked "Gienelle What happened?"

He kept walking towards me. Out of fear I clasp my hands together and I feel heat in my hands. I slowly opened my hands and saw a big blue fireball. I freaked out and sent it hurtling towards Cam. Terrified for him I move my hands to the side. Cam jumped out of the way and the ball curved and hit a nearby building. The building explodes and using it as a distraction I run away. As soon as I turned the corner someone grabbed my waist and we were lifted into the air. I see black feathers surrounding me. I looked down and see many buildings pass by. I try to see who was carrying me but then his grip tightens.

"Hold still. Its just me. I've got you." He whispered.

I awoke to find James sleeping face. He was hugging me in a protective way. I found myself clutching my necklace again and slowly opened my hand. I took off his hands and slowly got out of bed. I checked my phone for the time. It was already 3:25 and I bearly got up. We must've been really comfortable. My phone beeped and saw that I recived a text from Savi. It read:

Party at my house? Starts @4:30

I texted back:

Mind if I come early?

I walked over to my closest and picked out a plain black v-neck shirt and skinny jeans. I checked my messages and Savi replied:

Get your butt over here already

I smiled and then went to go take a quick shower. I got changed, grabbed my skateboard, and headed out. I skated for twenty minutes when reaching her street. I check the time reading 4:15. As I continued down the street I saw a boy with somewhat black surfer hair. He wore a black tee, blue jeans, and a choker. He had a piercing on his right eyebrow and abyss blue eyes. I skated closer to him and said "Hey! You heading to Savi's party?"

A bit surprised he looked at me. He smiled and said "Yeah, I'm Evan by the way."

"Nice to meet cha Evan! I'm Gienelle, but feel free to give me a nickname."

He thought for a moment and said "How's Gen?"

I smiled and replied "Yeah that's fine."

We chatted until we got to Savi's house. I knocked and then checked the time reading 4:35. As soon as Savi opened the door, many cars began to arrive. Within minutes the house is filled with people and loud music. Evan nudged me and tried to speak over the music "Care to dance!?"

I smiled and nodded. We headed to the living room and began dancing among the ocean of people. I dont know why I came but I'm kinda glad I did. We danced until there was no room to dance. We went into the kitchen and he grabbed two drinks and handed me one.
