I was sitting at a table waiting for my grandfather. Spencer never told me her father was my security guard. She never looked his way but then again he is working all the time. Maybe when I go back home I'll call her. A metal door open to reveal a guard and my grandfather. I got up from my chair.

"Hey grandpa it's been awhile." I said.

"Hey babygirl happy belated birthday." He said. We both took our seats.

"Thank you for the photo album, it's nice to see pictures of my mother growing up. How come you didn't tell me who my father was?" I asked.

"I didn't think it was the right time to tell you about your father. You told me your mother died, so how was I going to explain to you that your father was Maximilian Blackwood future king of Deadwood." He said.

"I had to find out on my birthday after I shifted. Actually my party was ruined because Britney Hale decided to come uninvited and ruin it." I said.

"What color is your fur?" He asked.

"It's black. I guess I took on the trait as my father." I said.

"Why would this Britney Hale ruin your party?" He asked.

"Britney is the mayor's daughter." I said.

"Good, he finally moved on from your mother." Grandpa said. Huh grandpa Maxwell was saying the same thing about the mayor.

"So the mayor did have a thing for my mother." I said.

"Well yeah. Your mother was kind and gentle but don't take her kindness for granted. There were a few cases of him coming to the house to take her on a date but that was when your father was dating her. He even went far as to give her a white rose. He told her that if Maximillian can give her one why he couldn't. I was in the other room so I was able to hear what they were saying. Your mother told him that she didn't like him that way. He told her that she didn't like Maximilian before. So he thought that would change for him but Nina was already in love with Maximilian. Well after that he started to say things that I didn't like and I stepped in. He left your mother alone after that." Grandpa said.

"What was the days leading up to grandmother's death like?" I said. Grandfather folded his hands on the table and sighed.

"Why do you want to know about those final days?" He asked.

"It's a hunch that I have." I told him.

"What is this hunch you have?" He asked. I close the gap a little bit so no one would hear or read lips.

"I think my dad, mom, and grandma was killed by the same person." I said.

"What makes you think that Gabriella? What's the gain? Killing a Blackwood is a death sentence but to also kill your grandmother and mother." He said.

"Well my father was going to be the next king, maybe somebody didn't want him to become king or could they wanted power. I mean what better way to be king is to kill off the Blackwood line." I said.

"But who is stupid enough to try it. Victoria and Maxwell are well love and treat everyone with kindness and respect, everyone loves Michael and Ella, then there's you. I'll be damned if I let anything happen to you." He said.

"Was there a white rose anywhere near grandma when she died?" I asked. Grandpa was in deep thought.

"Near her body no but there was a bouquet of it on the table near the door." He said.

"Who sent it?" I asked.

"I don't know there wasn't a name on the card." He said. "I thought it came from your father but he would have written his name on the card and add the Blackwood crest on it."
