As of now everyone knew about the accident. Today was suppose to be a fun day instead there's gloom in the air. Grandpa told me that I didn't have to go to school today because of family matters. Grandmother hasn't moved from the bed which is making Grandpa worry. I decided to take grandma's breakfast up to her room. She was laying in bed staring at the wall.

"Grandma breakfast is ready, I came to give it to you." I said. She didn't look at me or move. The light in her eyes were dull and her hair was laying on the side. I put the tray down and climbed in the bed.

"Grandma please come back to us. Uncle Michael will pull through you just have to believe." I said. She turned to me then.

"When Maximilian died I wanted to end my life." She said. I was not expecting that.

"I went into a deep depression that no one could get me out of. Maxwell tried everything from meds, to a spa day , to waiting on me hand and foot, nothing worked. Michael was able to talk me out of it. Do you know what he told me? He said that he couldn't lose me too. He said that he already lost a best friend and a brother." She said.

"Then can you be strong for my uncle, he needs you right now, grandpa needs you right now, I need you right now. I know that we are just getting to know each other but I would like for us to form a stronger bond. You, uncle, and grandpa are the only people that I have that is even considered to be close to my father." I said. She took a deep breath and sat up in bed patting the bed for me to sit with her.

"Sometimes you remind me of your father." She said pointing to her breakfast tray so I could give it to her.

"If it makes you feel any better I could get into the same trouble he caused you." I said trying to lighten the mood.

"Oh no he caused me enough trouble that I started to get grey hair." She said.

"I don't see any grey hair, you still look like you're in your twenties." I said.

"Well you can thank Andre." She said. We sat there talking about different things.

"Are the parties canceled for today?" I asked.

"No we need to show the town that we are still strong even during this time of sadness. Michael would have wanted that. No, he wants us to do that. We are not going to speak past tense. I'm going to get up call Andre for hair and makeup and we are going to show our strength." She jumped out of bed to head to the bathroom. I took the tray back downstairs to the kitchen. The staff bowed when I walked in there.

"Have you seen my grandfather?" I asked out loud.

"He's in his study princess." One of the maids said.

"Thank you." I told her leaving to find grandpa. When I reached his study he had his head in his hands.

"Grandpa do you hav a minute." I said. He looked at me.

"Anything for you, what's on your mind?" He said sitting back in his chair.

"Grandma is out of bed and calling Andre for hair and makeup." I said He looked at me in shock.

"Really, I that something like this would keep her in bed. I mean, I'm glad she's out of bed but...wow. How did you get her out of it?" He asked.

"I pleaded but she told me the balls were still happening and that we needed to show that we are still strong in this time of sadness. That uncle will like for us to keep going." I said. He got up from his chair came around his desk to sit on it.

"I guess we should call a town meeting to address the people. Also have cameras there for the people who won't be able to see it." He said. Before I could say anything else grandma walked into the room.
"That is a splendid idea, I was just thinking about the same thing." She said walking over to grandpa.
