What's good everybody! New year, new chapter of my book being posted I hope everyone is enjoying the book I know I am. It's my first novel I have ever written that is not a fanfiction so I'm really proud of it. I am blessed to have come up with the concept and I hope I continue writing more stories. Now without further due, let's go!

School started back and nothing was the same. Every student on campus wasn't there usual self. There was no smiles or laughter. The football team wasn't throwing a football around. I made it in just enough time before the bell rung. In my hands were a teddy bear and candle. A few students looked at me. My friends saw me and stood up. I could see the questions on their faces as to why I was carrying a bear and candle. The bell rung and all the students walked slowly into the school. The teachers were watching the students go in. I went to Britney's locker and put my book bag down so that I can get the tape. I could feel eyes staring at me but I didn't care. I put a piece of tape on the bear and stuck it on her locker. Then I took out a card with the words We Will Miss You on the front and stuck it on her locker. I put the candle on the floor but didn't light it because it might set off the fire alarm. When I turned to go to class everyone had their phones out. I gave a small smile and went to my class.

By lunchtime Britney's locker was covered with flowers, pictures, teddy bears, cards, and candles that it took up the front of most lockers. Looks like I started something. I received a ping on my phone telling me a story has developed. There was a video of me putting the teddy bear, card, and candle on Britney's locker. I didn't read the article because there was no need. I was just doing something nice. Just because we got off on the wrong foot doesn't mean I can't show respect for the dead. I made it to our table with my food.

"You'll make a great queen one day." Nathaniel said.

"Let it be a long way from now, I'm just getting used to this whole princess thing." I said to him.

"It was kind to do that for Britney. Her funeral is Friday." Savannah said.

"Only family and friends are going." I said. She shook her head no.

"We not only celebrate the fun things but also the sad things as well. The whole town will be at the funeral." She said.

"How does a Deadwood funeral go?" I asked.

"The day before the funeral there is a wake that the family will do privately along with a few close friends and the king and queen. The day of the funeral everyone attends to pay their respect. After that the casket is carried through the streets of Deadwood before the last resting place. We watch the burial then the family would turn into wolves followed by everyone else and howl in sadness." She said.

"Wow..alright then." I said. Lunch went on with light chatter before it was time for class again.

Today I decided to visit my grandparents to see how they were holding up. Both of them was sitting in the living room not really talking.

"Hi." I said softly. Grandmother looked at me.

"Hi my sweet girl how was school?" She asked. I went over to give her a hug then grandpa.

"School was school. The death of Britney is still hard to get around for some people." I said.

"I know you both didn't start off on a good note but it was really thoughtful of you doing that." She said.

"You guys saw the video." I said.

"The news have been playing it off and on today. How are you doing, really." Grandpa said.

"I really don't know what I feel. With everything going on I feel numb all of a sudden. Aunt Ella and uncle Michael are both in a coma and there's nothing anybody could do." I said.
