Small town he says, this is not a small town. There were buildings, huge ones and skyscrapers. It was like we traveled to New York or something but we weren't in New York. Matter of fact I don't even know where we are or to be exactly Deadwood.
"I'm confused, where are we anyway?" I asked.
"Well we live in Minnesota but not really. You see to get to Deadwood you have to travel off the main road but it's kind of hard to find it." He said.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"From the main road you actually can't see it because you have to travel on a dirt road before you get to the main road of Deadwood. The road is hidden behind a dense forest. To normal people it's just a dirt road that leads to nowhere just forest. We are on the line that lead into Ontario, Canada but without having to cross the checkpoint. We don't show up on the map because Deadwood doesn't exist." He said.
"What you're saying is Deadwood is well hidden from the humans." I said.
"Exactly and so is Wolf Crestlake." He said.
"How, I mean look at it, the buildings are huge and look at all these people." I said staring out the window.
"I know it's kind of hard to explain. Something about our ancestors asking the great wolf for protection. I don't remember exactly how the story goes but it's pretty interesting, but it's well hidden from humans. It's also on the line between countries but more into Ontario. You could say Wolf Crestlake is our capital but we live on the outside of it. I like the whole small town charm and Jonathan likes it big." He said.
"I can see that." I said. We stopped at a gate and one of the guards had to push a button. Someone answered on the other end and our guard had to tell him my grandfather had to see the king. The gate opened up and we went on through. The drive up to the house took some time. When we finally made it I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I thought my grandparents house was huge this is a freaking castle. I looked at grandpa but all he did was shrugged. The front door opened and Jonathan and Rachel came out to welcome us.
"Well this is a surprise brother what brings you to Wolf Crestlake?" He asked.
"We need to talk about something very important and I brought a companion along who is visiting Wolf Crestlake for the first time." He said with his arm out. I got out of the truck to stand next to my grandfather.
"Gabriella it's nice to see you again and welcome to Wolf Crestlake." Uncle Jonathan said.
"This place is beautiful." I said walking up the stairs to greet them. They led us inside.
"Gabriella why don't you come with me and let the men talk." Rachel said to me. She hooked her arm through mine and walked us further into the house, I mean castle.
"This is more like a castle than a mansion." I said.
"Jonathan likes it big can't complain. We walked out to the backyard which was also magnificent. There was a pond on the side, a pool, deck, and maze.
"Why did we come out here?" I asked.
"To talk about what else you found." She said sitting down at the table. I sat down next.
"It would be better if I showed you." I said taking out my phone out.
"I asked my friend Emily to send it to me." I handed her the phone so she could see the pictures and video.
"This was taken on Halloween night. We broke into the mayor's house to take these. He had an office hidden under the stairs." I said.
"This is sick. There's red marks on a few of the pictures." She said.
