PROLOGUE

Heeyoung wiped the table that was left by customers a few minutes ago. She quickly handed over the drinks at the other table before she sat at the corner of the cashier counter. Wiping the sweats over her head after such a tiring day, she also fanned herself to keep calm. Its weekend and the weather was hot so no wonder people preferred to be inside the building.

"Theres still a few hours left before we close the cafe, make sure you clean the table at the outside as well okay?" The manager asked Heeyoung and she nodded immediately. She decided to get a part time work as she knew that the course she took at the college cost a lot. Not saying that she comes from a poor family, but looking at how her parents work hard to live comfortably, she thought it might be less burden if she can pay the course with her own money.

"Why do you prefer to work here tho?" The other worker asked Heeyoung a few days ago and she smiled shyly. Other than the reason it was located near by her house, she got to see someone that she has interest on. Her 4 years gap high school senior, Lee Hongbin. Everyone would go crazy over him, the top science student, the most handsome one, the smile killer, ugh just a perfect creation ever existed in the school. But due to huge gap, she only got to see him for around 2 years before he graduated and the only way to see him is to be in this cafe.

Yet that day, he came again with a smile on his face and ordered the same drink that he loved, iced americano. For some reason, Heeyoung started to feel fluttered and her heart beat faster. Hongbin took a sit at the usual place beside a clear window with a camera. She fixed her hair and cleared her throat before she walked towards him.

"Hongbin sunbae (senior)..umm here your iced americano" Heeyoung put the drink on the table and he thanked her. She stared at the camera he had and wondered, whats the point he learned science thingy that for her was the hardest subject, but at the end he just enjoyed taking pictures. When she bowed and about to turn, he stopped her.

"Wait..I thought I just ordered a drink..but this cookie..?" Hongbin pointed at the cookies and stared at her. Those sparkling eyes along with the smile that showed his perfect white teeth, she almost let flies got into her mouth. She gulped and let out a nervous laugh.

"ah..I always remembered you ordered iced americano along with choc cookies, so I thought you want your usual order so...ah sunbae, its okay the cookies on me." Heeyoung bit her lips and looked down. She can feel her cheek turned red, would say that's the longest conversation she ever had with him.

"Haha gwiyeopda. (you're cute). Its okay, I like it when people remembered my favorite. And another thing, you called me sunbae?" She felt happy in the inside and tried to hide her smile when he mentioned that he liked people remembered his favorite. She braved herself and looked straight into his eyes. God, her heart beats more faster like she just in marathon or something.

"Ah..we went to the same high school, sunbae. I was a freshman when you almost graduated and the subjects that we took were different, so it is possible that you didn't know me back then haha.."

Hongbin nodded and looked around, people were slowly left the cafe as the operating hours almost done. "Who said that I didn't know you?" He took a sip of his drink and took a picture of Heeyoung in a flash.

She widened her eyes "You..you know..me sunbae? But..how?" Heeyoung can't hide her smile anymore when a person that she quietly watched and crush on actually did know her.

"Well, you're top student in art and everyone knows that. It just that our school focused more on science and technology so you thought not everyone knows you. Believe me, you're famous among the seniors." Hongbin showed his smile one again before the manager called Heeyoung to make the last orders.

"uh..I think I need to excuse myself, but sunbae, knowing the fact that you actually knew me really made my day today." Heeyoung smiled shyly and he nodded.

"So after this make sure don't look down and greet me when I come here next time okay?" Hongbin stood and ruffled her hair softly before he packed his drink and cookie and left the cafe. She watched him walked outside the cafe and ran towards the drink section to make the orders. While making the drinks, she can't stop smiling and touched her hair before someone tapped her shoulder.

"Heeyoung-ah, tomorrow we'll get a new worker, I decided to accept him as we'll be busy this summer, so come early and teach him whatever needed okay? I think he's the same age as you as what he told me." She nodded and they finished their day by cleaning the cafe.

She bid goodbye to the workers and left the cafe. Right when she opened the door she screamed as Eunwoo, her best male friend shocked her. "Yah, Cha Eunwoo! Micheosseo? (r u crazy?) I almost died!" She punched him at the shoulder and he laughed.

"Hahaha mianhae (sorry). I waited you because I want to tell you that I got to work at the cafe you work as well. Congratulate me ~" He spread his arm and she chuckled. She handed him his favorite mint cake as he always ordered and waited outside of his house after she finished her work hours.

"Why bother to work, you're rich already. Look at how tall those buildings that belonged to your father are huh?" He sighed and looked around.

"Whats the point, I'm bored and when holidays begin, you always at the cafe and work over time. I don't even have anyone to go out with.." Eunwoo pouted and looked at Heeyoung who's already stared at him in disbelieved. He continued "At least when I work there, we can go to work together and I don't have to worry about you coming home late at night."

Heeyoung laughed "So all this time you asked me to buy something on my way home, it just an excuse so that you can watch and wait for me every night? Wah, even my parents didn't do that Cha Eunwoo. But anyway thanks, you took care of me since we're in school and acted like a brother and always wait for me, and pro-"

"yah,yah don't feel too thankful, I know I did a lot of good things to you.." He joked and got punched again by Heeyoung.

"Oh! Eunwoo-yah you wanna know something?" She stopped walking and turned towards him. Her cheek suddenly became reddish again. He raised his eyebrows.

"neo, eodi a-pa? (you hurt somewhere?) ni eolgul wae ireohke ppal-gae? (why do your face turned red?)" He placed his palm on her forehead but she shook her head.

"My crush noticed me! He noticed me Eunwoo-yah! I'm so happy, God I feel hot again." She smiled widely and fanned herself. Eunwoo became confused and frowned before he scratched his head.

"yah, since when you have a crush?! whoo?? whatta hell Jang Heeyoung, how can I didn't know this??" He tried to control his tone.

"Cha Eunwoo, ,my dear rich friend, mind your language please. Anyway you remember Lee Hongbin sunbae? The famous one and the smartest one at our high school? The one who created a robot, the first ever full human-size-robot that represented Korea at that time?" They continued walking while Eunwoo tried to recall his high school memories.

"Which one..oh! Ahh that arrogant giraffe who always put me on the second place? Ahh.. wait.. HIM?! Jang Heeyoung seriously?? He made your best friend lost in most competitions!" Heeyoung glared at him and this time she slapped his arm.

"What? Arrogant giraffe?? SO you are not giraffe as well huh? You're basically the same height as him tho. And he won in the quiz competition because he was much faster than you and well it just 2 points more than you. While the model stage was because obviously he's more popular and more handsome, I mean you do but no one can beat him" Heeyoung stick out her tongue and ran.

Eunwoo sighed in disbelieved and watched Heeyoung ran away from him. The grip on the plastic that he held became tighter. He tried not to show his emotion and cleared his throat but his mind was running fast.

"Out of all men, why must you choose him? Why must you have interest on him? The one whom you didn't know well, the one with complicated life. I've tried to protect you but what if.. what if I can't do anything. And out of all women, why must you know my Heeyoung?I've tried to avoid you with any cost, why must you make chaos again?"

"Lee Hongbin, the technomania..the troublemaker."
