Hongbin stared at Heeyoung who was sitting facing the window. It hurts to see that she was opening her eyes but the stare was empty. He rubbed her hands with his thumb as they were holding hands for a while. She said that she was ready to hear what happened to her but she only wanted Hongbin to explain.

"You remembered the day you submitted your comic? While on the way back home, you texted me and said to pick you up at your home, but you had an accident. A truck crashed with your car and the car was flipped over a few times. The people gathered around the car and saw you had a possibility to survive, so they helped you out first but at that time your head and face were badly injured.."

Heeyoung sobbed- made him stopped and waited for her to calm down. She held her chest and cried hard as the day she thought was the happiest day turned out to be the darkest day in her life. "Eomma Appa neun? (what about my parents?)" She clenched her fist and tried to stop crying. He helped her to wipe her tears.

"They were trapped in the car and badly injured..they can't make it and passed away there. Your father left a will a week before the accident to me.."

"He did..? About what.."

"He wanted me to be your guardian and take care of you. Your grandfather did leave half of his assets to you so you will get to handle it by yourself when you're 25. Your father inherited his wealth mostly to you and a bit to me but you can take my share because you're the only daughter and blood related to him..that still alive.."

She was thinking for a while "Why did he give the will to you? As far as I remembered you met him only a few times-"

"I worked under him Heeyoung-ah. It has been a few years after our meeting at the cafe. I don't wish to tell you yet and planned to tell you when you meet my parents on the day of the accident..but it didn't go as I wished for.."

"You..really kept a lot of sec-"

"No- I told you I want to tell you everything that day, I don't want people to think that I got to work under your father because of you. It has always been my dream to work in the field that I love.. and your father made it for me."

"Okay..sorry.." She hugged him and he nodded. "So..you will take care of me for now?" She moved her hand and tried to find his face, caressed it softly. "I can't even see my parents for the last time and now I can't even see you while you're in front of me.."

"I will always be by your side, its enough for you to feel me that way.." He fixed her bangs and she weakly nodded. "Now you have to eat, you look so pale and I brought your favorite food." He walked to the table and prepared her meal. She felt and caressed the bed sheet and turned her body to sit cross legged at the bed.

"What about Eunwoo..?" He stopped doing what he did and hesitantly looked at her. "Did.. he know about me..? Did he come to my parent's funeral..? Or did he yet to come?" He continued to prepare the meal and sat beside her.

"What do you wish him to do?"

"I don't know..I want him to come back but not because of my situation. I can't even see him anymore.." She bit her lips and cried again. She can't accept the fact that she's also can't see her best friend anymore. The memories of them when they were kids lingered around her mind. "I hope he's just fine..I guess he don't have to know about me.."

"I did call him.." Hongbin lied. "He said he's okay and busy with his works. I was about to tell him what happened here but he looks too busy that I didn't get a chance to talk a lot."

"Did..he ask..about me?"

"He did and he was sure that you're just fine here.. because I'm here with you.." Hongbin fed her and let a silent sigh. After lying to Eunwoo since years ago, now he had to lie her about Eunwoo. Good Lee Hongbin, you're just making this complicated as fuck.

She chewed the food slowly. She felt like Eunwoo was too busy to care about what happened to her or her family. Since his family already moved there as well, its possible that he will never ask about her anymore. The way he said that Hongbin was there with her felt like a betray. He said that he will protect her but yet someone else took the responsibility. Since her father already wished Hongbin as her guardian, she might ended up marrying him and of course she can't always think about Eunwoo as he's just a friend.

"Are you willing to take care of me..?" She drank after she already felt full after a few spoons of the meal. He cleaned up and smiled even though she can't see it.

"I told you that I will take care of you. Even if your father didn't make the will, I will take care of you. You're precious to me, I feel like..I'm afraid to lose you.." His stare had a different meaning and he caressed her face.

"Because you love me?"

"Yes. I love you that my heart pains to look at you now. I feel like I'm such a useless person to let you become like this." He held her face and kissed her lips passionately. She was kinda taken aback before she held his shoulder and replied the kiss.

Eunwoo was having dinner with his family quietly after he finished his works. But his mother noticed that he hasn't touch the food but instead played it with the chopstick.

"Cha Eunwoo." She called his son and he faced her confusedly. She gazed at his bowl. "Why are you playing with your chopstick? You don't like this food? You're feeling unwell?" He bowed as he noticed his father glared at him.

"I only give you little works, I know Han Yejin handled most of the works for you. You look like you didn't sleep for days." His father spoke sternly and he looked down.

"I'm sorry. I was thinking about a few works that I have yet to complete.." He quickly picked some dishes and mixed it with rice. Fortunately there's a Korean restaurant or they have to eat steak every single day. "I..was planning to return to Korea..as soon as I'm sure I have completed my works.. just to walk around because I feel like I miss Korea too much."

"Look what did you do to our only son?" His mother glared at his father. "He had to work alone before we were here, and now he misses Korea, aigoo you must be so tired right?" She sympathized her only son. "Go there when you finish your work." She smiled at him.

"I work more than 30 years and you just work for 3 months but complains a lot. Its not like you have anyone there anymore? Who? That girl Heeyoung right? You just want to meet her right? Remember what I said Cha Eunwoo, she can't stop you doing what I want." He took a sip of the tea and didn't even look at his son.

"jagi! They have been friends since they were kids. Aigoo, why are you doubting her? They are good family too and I remembered her father also helped you with the machines that you need. He even gave a lot of good quality machines for free." She shook her head and smiled at Eunwoo. "Just go whenever you want, don't care about your father, you already did a good job here"

Eunwoo bowed and thanked his mother before excusing himself to go to the toilet. He went to the outside of the restaurant to let out his frustrated mind. "He never understoands me. Why did I even ask for his permission." He looked at the empty road in front of him. "Why do I feel uneasy huh? Since its confirmed that I can return to Korea.." He excitedly took out his phone from the pocket and texted Heeyoung.

-JANG HEEYOUNG Guess What? I'm com-

He stopped texting. "Hyung said she lost her phone so she might changed her number.. kay then.." He changed her number to Hongbin's number and texted him instead.

-HYUNG! I'm coming to Korea but not sure when hehe please tell Heeyoung since I don't have her number yet. Give me her number if you have read this thanks!-

Hongbin stared at the text before he sighed. Its better to keep this from Eunwoo. If he tells him, he will go to his home where there's cyborgs..and his cousin..it might be the end.

The message has deleted.
