CHAPTER 28

Heeyoung woke up in the morning and started her day with a smile. She was thankful that she's able to see again. She sat cross-legged and clasped her hands together at the middle of the bed "Eomma..Appa.. I will live happily like you always want to and, I will not waste the gift and the second chance that I've got. I will visit you soon." She smiled and took a bath before went to the kitchen.

Hongbin stared at everyone who was sitting at the dining table and ate their breakfast silently. He cleared his throat which made everyone looked at him. "I told her that you guys were staying here for a while. Make it as normal as you can, never make any suspicious conversation with her, in case she's trying to know something, make something to end the conversation. It's not the time yet, she didn't know anything and by the fact that you guys are also..like what she became now, it will be hard to explain."

Everyone nodded but didn't say anything. They continued to finish their meals and Hakyeon was the first one to stand and washed his dishes. He then walked towards his room where he accidentally bumped with Heeyoung who just closed her door. They stared at each other for a while and it was awkward, neither of them said anything but just keep staring. Somehow they feel like they are curious of each other.

"I'm still wondering what VIXX are doing here..why I never heard anything when I'm blind even though they are obviously here with me.. But seeing Hakyeon sunbae is here, in front of me made me relieved.. if only Eunwoo knows that his cousin is actually fine.."

She sighed when she remembered about Eunwoo. She mumbled "Eunwoo.." while looking down before she heard a voice and looked up.

"Cha Eunwoo?" Hakyeon said the name in a low voice while still looking at her. She was quite shocked and tried to avoid his gaze. She was actually confused, because Eunwoo didn't know about her condition while Hakyeon knows. What if Hakyeon tried to get Eunwoo's contact from her by getting closer and asked Eunwoo if he knows about her condition. She shut her eyes as this might get complicated as fuck.

"He..was trying to find you.. but where are you actually?" She braved herself and tried to find out about him instead. She will avoid any questions about herself so it might be more better. He felt like there's a hope to know about his family as she actually knows Cha Eunwoo, a person whom he believed a cousin of himself.

"What for..? I'm just fine..here- I mean I'm fine and now staying here with the boys.." He stopped his words because he didn't know how to ask her about Eunwoo without being so weird as he totally forgot everything about his family. "But..he's doing fine right?"

Heeyoung stared at him seriously. He looked different from Hakyeon that she knows, maybe because their last meet were from high school but she just felt different "Oppa, he was looking for you since the last day you and him went somewhere and you just left him alone dumbfounded. He never gave up but he started to lose his track and hope, he sacrificed a lot because he knows you were struggling with your life.. but its all the past and you are here, in front of me, doing well, I think Eunwoo is the one who should see this. But he's in Russia, never cares about me-"

"Why did he go there? Why he didn't know anything about you? And why do you have a connection with Lee Hongbin?" He was too curious that he slipped the last question. He knew he's not supposed to be so suspicious, but looking at how her life was full of secrets and she doesn't even know that she's a cyborg now, he felt guilty and felt like she shouldn't met Hongbin at the first place.

She looked at him confusedly "He had to work under his father, and while he's still there, I was involved in the accident and he's too busy to know about my condition so Hongbin sunbae told me that it's better to not disturb him and I also think it's the best decision. At least I don't look pathetic to him and not hoping that he would lend me his shoulder again to cry. And even until now, that I'm able to see again, I have yet to tell him about me because.. is it even necessary? He's on his way to Korea anyway so sooner or later he would find me or.. not.."

"He's..coming here? When..?"

"Soon..might be on the flight right now or I don't know I just got a mes-" She quickly bit her lips because she was afraid that Hongbin would hear that she had her phone back. But Hakyeon nodded signed that he knew about it.

"I was the one who helped you to put it back.." He referred to the battery that he helped to put it back when she accidentally made it fell from the table. She widened her eyes before realized that he's the one who was hugging her at the end.

"Okay.." She slowly noticed something "So you are the one who hugged me..saying thank you and you also the one who read Eunwoo's message for me right? So from there you get to know about him..a cousin that you have lost contact for so long.."

"Yes. That's me. Things were so complicated now but, I wish I can know- I mean I wish I can meet him..despite whatever happened in the past..I sounded desperate but, I jus-"

"I understand that. People made mistakes and I'm sure Eunwoo would be happy to meet you now, but I'm not even sure what should I explain to him if we get to meet each other.. He did say that he wanted to find out something by himself but I don't even know what is it. I can feel like we will be so awkward when we meet each other.."

"In case you're the one who get to meet him, just don't tell him anything about us.. yet."

"But why? You said earlier that you want to mee-"

"Heeyoung-ah?" Hongbin walked towards them and saw they were talking, but not even sure what is it about. He tried to cut off their conversation. She immediately looked at him and faked a smile. It feels like there's a connection between Hakyeon and Heeyoung as they both acted like there's nothing happened. "I waited for you to come down and have a breakfast, no wonder, you're still here and talk with Hakyeon? It must be so long since you guys last meet right so no wonder you have a nice chat." He smiled back at her.

"Eo..I was glad actually to see all of them since I'm able to see again that's all, oh you said breakfast? I realized now that my stomach was making a concert since I got up" She smiled at them and excused herself to go to the kitchen and escaped him. "I don't know why there's seems to be so much secrets between each other in this house" She mumbled to herself and shook her head.

Hongbin watched her went down before he grabbed Hakyeon who was starting to walk to his room. They stared at each other for a while before he let him go. "Did you say anything to her? Or did she ask anything?"

"As what she said earlier, she was glad to meet us and that's exactly what she said to me earlier. Anything about us? Like what? Becoming a cyborg and how it feels? Do you expect her to know about that? Or you afraid that I would accidentally told her that?" Hakyeon glared at him and sighed. He doesn't even know but now he felt like he was too tired to keep acting like a normal human while actually he's not even a human anymore.

Hongbin frowned "Why are you being so emotional all of the sudden? I was asking because she's not in the position to know about it yet. Unlike all of you who agreed to be a cyborg, she didn't. She would be shocked and you know whats the effect if a cyborg getting shock with its own function.."

"Unlike all of us? Are you trying to say that you're not responsible for turning us into these machines? Now what Lee Hongbin? You are the one who told us that its the best thing to be, become immortal and live happily with memories that we choose to remember.. Are you trying to avoid the risk now?"

Hongbin held his shoulder tightly "What are you talking about? Why do you sound so angry about this? We agreed about this a long time ago, I'm trying to make a new life for you, for all of you. I make this because I love you guys, becoming an immortal creation will surely make all of you stick together forever, no need to worry about anyone going missing or..die.."

"But now we are depending on you. We feel like you're the god of us, we depend on you too much and why are you sure we will become immortal, just because we are not humans anymore? You made us forget our own past life and now we struggled to live our lives which you never know how it feels like.."

"What do you want me to do now? All this time you are not even saying anything abo-"

"Why don't you turn yourself like one of us? You have a fear of losing us, but yet you still a human, at last we are the ones who will watching you suffer and die..at the end."
