CHAPTER 33

"Oh thank goodness you know this dog!" The woman pushed him aside and went inside the house. Confused, he quickly closed the door and followed her from behind. "I feel like dying- eo? You have a girlll in your house now" She smirked and smiled cheekily. "What a grown up" She took a sit at the couch and let a deep sigh.

Yejin looked at Eunwoo but he shook his head, showing that he had no idea what was happening but he moved his hands to show the dog to her. He put the dog down and moved closer to the woman. "I'm sorry, but..who are you? And why do you have Heeyoung's dog?"

The woman opened her eyes and glared at him "You really don't have any idea who I am? I'm that shit's aunt!" She fanned herself and walked towards the kitchen to drink some water, very rude and arrogant I must say. She gulped the drink and burped. "Well at least I found someone to take care of that problematic dog. It's such a mess when he barked all night!" She fixed her wrinkled clothes and looked around the house.

Eunwoo frowned and kinda disgusted with her. Now he just remembered when he and Heeyoung went to a restaurant a long time ago and met with her aunt. Probably this is the one. But what with referring her own niece as a 'shit' and the nicest dog he ever met as 'problematic'? What is happening actually?

Yejin gave him a sign to ask the woman -Hyunmi-, about Heeyoung so she took the dog outside at the balcony, leaving both of them inside the house. "Imo, what are you doing here anyway?" He started the conversation and she put the glass on the counter before she came closer to him.

"Well since that you're here to take care of the dog, I'm just gonna tell you everything" She widened her eyes and spread her arms. Then, she crossed her arms back and took a breath. "I planned to just leave that dog in this neighborhood, or worse inside that empty house because I'm sick to take care of him." Eunwoo stared at her in disbelieved. Seriously this old woman?

"Then?" He tried to control his anger and kept asking her. She must know something.

She sighed "I went inside the house, it's unlocked so I just take a look around if I can find anything-" She actually tried to find any expensive accessories or money but was dumbfounded to find that the house was empty -Hongbin has taken care of it right after he brought Heeyoung lived with him-. She continued "- find something, and I found your picture with her, which obviously I know that you lived here, and I found a car at the in front, so I knocked your door and boom! You have a dog now!" She laughed and took a sit at the couch.

Eunwoo shook his head, the house was empty, the woman had Heeyoung's dog. This is what he wanted to know. "You didn't answer me yet. Why do you have her dog?"

Hyunmi getting annoyed when she remembered about what happened a few months ago. Eunwoo sat across her and waited patiently. "Well because she just left him and live with some random guy who inherited her father's wealth! It just so messed up!!" She held her hair in frustration that she didn't get her right to be a guardian "I'm her aunt! You know! But that jerk just had a lawyer and said that her father told him to take care of his daughter bla bla bla ughhh" She crumpled the newspaper that Eunwoo bought last night that he had to snatch it back from her.

"Her..father's will?" He gripped the newspaper tighter and his heart beat faster than usual. So it's true that something happened to her family?

"Come on you're her best of best friend! I'm even surprised you're not there when they- wait." She stopped and gasped "You're not there!" She moved her eyes around and stood "Then you had no idea what happened to her all these times?!! OMG best drama ever!" She closed her mouth in excitement before she was forced to sit and he held her shoulder.

"I- Imo.." He sounded a bit more serious. "What's with the will.. and the empty house?"

She felt like she found a hope again (to be her right guardian using this chance) so she faked a cry right away. "Ohhh myyyyy whats your nameeee I forgot?" She stopped crying before he replied 'Eunwoo' and continued crying "OHh Myyy Eunwoo you have to helppp meee. The guy just snatched my niece awayyy when I am supposed to be her guardiannn. It's been monthsss and I don't even know what happened to her except that she bli-" She immediately stopped and looked at his reaction. As expected, shocked and speechless.

"Before she what?!" He stood up and glared at her. Hongbin snatched Heeyoung? From her own aunt?

"B- bli- blind." She's a bit careful since he looked furious. He widened his eyes and froze. How can she be blind, she looked completely fine last night? Yejin who overheard them went inside and can't believe what she just heard.

"I sound so rude earlier, it's because I can't find her anywhere.." She faked her sad emotion and tried to lure them to trust her so that she can see her niece and be her guardian. "-it's frustrating for me- as an aunt you know.." She pretended to wipe her tears and looked at Eunwoo.

"Imo. Can you please tell us properly what happened to Jang Heeyoung? We had no idea what happened to her, Eunwoo was at Russia when these things happened." Yejin tried to consult Hyunmi to be more precise in telling the truth. Hyunmi cleared her throat and nodded, seems like Eunwoo can really help her this time.

"I don't remember what day, but it happened months ago, they were from a comic company I guess" She tried to find the old memories inside her little brain. Eunwoo had already sat and landed at the TV counter, feeling hopeless. "A truck crashed their car like a can!" She made a fist with her left hand to represent the 'can'.

"Just like in the article." Yejin spoke to herself.

"Yeah! There's an article about them!" Hyunmi agreed to Yejin and continued "My brother and his wife passed away. Heeyoung is the only one alive, but blind. Don't make me tell you about her face, urgh very baddd" She widened her eyes again and made a disgusted face.

"And the will?" Eunwoo asked while staring at the floor, he had no strength to lift up his head after it turned out that everything he assumed about her were the truths.

"Yess about the will!. During her stay at the hospital, there's this guy! Stick there by her side, never say anything up until the doctor asked about the guardian. He suddenly said he's the guardian of Heeyoung and the lawyer came, reading the will out aloud at the hospital. It's messed up!! How can he be a guardian?!"

Yejin noticed that Eunwoo looked uneasy. "Do you.. know his name?" She asked.

Hyunmi tried to remember and frowned before she quickly nodded. "Of course! Its Lee Hong Bi or Bean something!". Eunwoo shut his eyes and made a fist with both of his hands. 

"Fuck fuck fuck fuck" He mumbled to himself, where Yejin realized it and quickly asked Hyunmi to leave.

"You're going to help me find her right? My niece? I have to be her guardian you know that RIGHT?!" Hyunmi spoke non-stop when Yejin lightly pushed her until she stood outside of the house and immediately locked the door.
