CHAPTER 23

Eunwoo packed his things as he will be busy before he returned to Korea. He heard a knock from the main door and Yejin was there to talk to him. He invited her to come inside and take a sit. "What's wrong? It looks like you have something urgent." He served her a drink by his own as his parents went out earlier.

"I called you for like hundredth times" She glared at him before he checked his phone and awkwardly scratched his neck.

"I silent my phone, busy packing my things.. so what is it?" He leaned forward when she put her tablet on the table and there's a korean's article on it.

"I don't know but once I read about this article, I remembered about your friend. This happened months ago and I tend to found it yesterday." He stared at her before he quickly grabbed the tablet and read it quietly.

An Unfortunate Accident Killed The Parents.

On February 3rd, a family of three were involved in an accident when their car got crashed by a truck which seems to lose control. The car got flipped around and three victims known as Mr.J, his wife, Mrs J and his daughter, JHY were trapped inside but the daughter survived with injuries on the head and face while the parents unfortunately passed away right after the accident.

From the investigation made, the gps attached showed that they were on the way from a comic company to their home but got into an accident at the traffic light road, 25 minutes away from the last place they went. While the truck was from the right road believed to come from the highway in high speed.

The victim, JHY that survived got an immediate treatment at the XXX Hospital but unfortunately the injuries on the face affected her sight and she was diagnosed as blind. She was taken care by a guardian believed to be a non family member of her as wished in the will by her late father, Mr.J that passed away in the accident. The funeral were held at the same hospital and the bodies were buried at XX Graveyard.

"I don't want to make a self conclusion, but it seems like your friend might got involved in an accident. If she's really blind it's possible that she can't find a way to contact you or that guardian doesn't allow her to remember her past and build a new life. But I wonder.. why her father asked other people than her own family members." She looked at him who was thinking of something.

"I don't want to believe this.. but everything seems right.. The name..JHY, Jang Heeyoung.. from a comic company... she did went to- wait" He unlocked his phone and searched his last conversation with Heeyoung. Its true that she did send something to him but when he replied, she didn't seen it. He found the last chat and looked at the time.

Heeyoung : Heyyyy I passed it! I got to sign a contract! Can't wait to tell you everything! Call me back! (1.15p.m)

You: Congratsss silly! I will call you back soon. What do you want me to treat you? (2.00p.m)

Heeyoung last seen on 1.42 p.m

"Shit.. the road is 25 minutes from the company.. 15 plus 25.. 40.." Yejin closed her mouth using her hand when he calculated the time. He bit his lips and ruffled his hair in frustration.

"Oh my..what if it's true?? What are we going to do now? Cha Eunwoo she's blind, she lost her parents.. and..who's taking care of her?" She looked down and then they looked at each other.

"Lee Hongbin." Both said it at the same time. Eunwoo grabbed his phone and looked for his Hongbin's number. Yejin looked at him in worried and when he's about to call, she quickly stopped him and he looked frustrated.

"What's wrong?! I don't fucking care what is going to happen but he's too much! Why can't he just tell me about her!? She's freaking got in an accident and blind! How can he just take care of her just like that?" Yejin rubbed his back when she saw tears in his eyes. She cancelled the call and took a deep breath.

"I know you're mad. It's unfair, for whatever reason, there's no excuse to keep this as a secret but.. what are you going to do after you told him that you knew about her? You're still here, not even in Korea. If he intended to do something to her and hid it from you, he might immediately did worse to her after you told him, because he's in rush, knowing that he's in danger. He might did something to VIXX as well because its impossible that he didn't know anything about them."

"What are we going to do.." He landed his head at the couch after he calmed down a bit.

"Well..let's just play along with his game, if it's true that she's blind now, he will keep lying to you and avoiding her from you. Maybe he didn't intend it, but everything's too late for him and he cannot do anything except for keep lying. Maybe. Let's call and tell him that you're coming to Korea in a few months, act like you're clueless about what happened and tell him that you want to meet Heeyoung so bad. By next month, you secretly go there and find her by yourself and see if anything happened to her."

Eunwoo took his phone back and dialed Hongbin's number. He cleared his throat and tried to act normal.

"Hello?"

"Hyungggg how are you?" He clenched his fist as he felt disgusted to call him happily. He pressed on the loud speaker to let Yejin heard it as well.

"Yeah fine.. why are you calling me? are you- coming home..?"

They looked at each other. The way he's stuttering and the first question was about Eunwoo coming home, it looked obvious enough. "Of Courseeee how do you know hyung? I will return to Korea in a few months and I miss Heeyoung so bad! How is she? How could she never calls me or did you never give her my number?" He suddenly sounded serious since he cannot stand with it anymore. Yejin told him to be patient.

"Ouh..re..really? Wah..I miss you and yeah she's so busy that she always..uh turn off her phone.. so I yet to give he.. her your number.. In a few months..? oh okay then I can prepare..to celebrate you..haha" He faked a laugh but he was being so nervous and wanted to end the call.

"It worries me that she kept turning off her phone. She never did that no matter how busy she is because her parents might call her or I might call her.. ouh about her parents.. how are they? I keep calling them but they didn't pick it up.." He waited for Hongbin since he didn't say anything.

"Ouh.. they are not in this country, they went to.. uh Sweden I guess? Her father.. has a company there right.? So maybe that's why you cannot call them.. They are fine..yeah.."

Eunwoo sighed heavily just to let Hongbin heard it. "Oh is that so? Okay anyway I already told you this don't forget to remind her to not skip meals, and don't just too focus on drawing the comic or she might go BLIND." Hongbin widened his eyes when he heard the word and cleared his throat in nervous.

"Yeah sure don't worry too much Eunwoo-yah. You too, don't skip your meals.. and sleep on time, call me when you are going to the airport later. Talk to you later bye."

Hongbin ended the call and walked around the hotel room. He was in panicked. He felt desperate. Eunwoo can't see Heeyoung in that condition, and it will be just fine if she becomes a cyborg as she can see again. He can also insert a certain memories so that Eunwoo will not suspected anything. That's it.

"Jang Heeyoung needs to be a cyborg. That's the only way.. I need to change her before Eunwoo came back.. At least it will took a month.. it should be enough.. I need to make sure everything looks normal.." He looked at the list of machines and the parts in his book before he called his staff at the company.

"Hello? Yes Mr.Lee Hongbin is there anything you want to discuss before you head back home?"

"No..it just about the machines that I asked you to keep.. And all the small parts that I requested, please export it to Korea as soon as possible. An urgent client needs it."
