CHAPTER 6

Hakyeon opened his notebook and wrote something.

Cha Eunwoo.

"Who is he..its not a name of my parents for sure..is he more important than them?" He closed the book and started to hold his head. The pain has came back when he suddenly fell from the chair and passed out.

DUB.

Hongbin who was preparing the machines looked up. He ran towards Hakyeon's room before lifting him up and walked to the lab, where he did all the programming thingy. He put Hakyeon in the last big cylinder container and looked at the other containers.

VIXX, his father and his mother.

Hongbin took a deep breath before he sat in front of the computer and started to set up the program for them. The cyborgs. He reset their memories and put only the memories that he wished them to remember. The addiction in technology only makes him desperate to be happy with people that he loved. He feared of losing them which is why he made them into cyborgs which he believed will be immortal. With that, he doesnt have to worry about losing them anymore.

Its started with his parents who had no idea about what will happened to their future. Hongbin did a lot of research and locked himself in a room after the 2015 robot competition. He was indebted with Hakyeon as he wanted to take responsibility for him. He doesnt want to lose such a nice people and decided to start with his parents.

"Eomma..appa..we're going to live the same but more happily after this." Hongbin put a sleeping powder inside their drinks secretly and they looked at each other. "Do you.. believe me?"

"What nonsense are you talking about" His dad chuckled and drank the water before his mom did the same. Hongbin frowned and waited nervously as he's about to risk his parent's life. A minute after that they collapsed and were brought to the lab and the beginning of his experiment has started.

At first they were acting 100% like a robot. Only heard instructions from Hongbin and walked very slow. Thats where he decided to hide them and moved to a house up at the hill. He fixed them a lot before they looked fully fine and acted like normal humans. He deleted bad memories and inserted only good ones in hoping that they can live happily forever.

The rest of VIXX were clueless about the cyborgs neither where Hongbin was. Hakyeon decided to find him because he thought Hongbin might be hiding because he felt guilty about the competition.

"Hyung." Eunwoo called Hakyeon and he turned. "Can I follow you? At least you have a company." Eunwoo hid his true intention so that he can know what happened to Hongbin who almost put his cousin into trouble.

They fortunately found Hongbin's house and Hakyeon knocked the door. Hongbin's mother opened it and smiled at them. Surprisingly happy and delighted which made Eunwoo confused. She looked normal so they didn't suspect anything. Hakyeon went to meet Hongbin at the lab where he found out the truth about what Hongbin has been doing. Eunwoo who was waiting at the living room kept looking around the house and wondered why the house was so big and the only house up at the hill.

"Hakyeon-ah..I was scared of losing nice people. I make my parents into cyborgs..they are doing fine and..and if you want and the others (VIXX) want, I can make you guys immortal too." Hongbin convinced Hakyeon and showed him all the preparations that he did while he was hiding. Hakyeon who was struggling with life thought that it might be the best and the worst decision to become a cyborg.

After a while Hakyeon went outside the house and asked Eunwoo to go back first. "Why?? Did he do something again and want you to take the responsibility again? Before this a robot now a what?"

Both Hongbin and Hakyeon were shocked with Eunwoo's reply. They had no idea that someone knew about that. Hakyeon sighed. "Please Eunwoo-yah, you know how hard for me to pretend doing something that my parents want. They never supported me at the first place, I have to make excuses to go to Sweden and even with the winning, they never accepted it."

"Because Korea was cheating. The winning was meaningless because he did the cheating." Eunwoo pointed to Hongbin before Hakyeon held his shoulder tightly.

"Dont make this hard for me. Whatever the reason, I have right to be happy with my own way and Hongbin can help me with that. It doesnt matter now if I will be back or not so you, take care of my parents please." Hakyeon closed the door and left Eunwoo alone at the outside.

"Hyung! Why are you being like this?!" He knocked the door harshly before his phone rang and he hesitantly went back home due to emergency.

"So where are they now? Where's my cousin? Where's Cha Hakyeon?"

Hongbin had no choice but to hide them because the government had released a law that prohibited creating cyborgs as it harms the human being and harm the science and technology field.

"Right after you went home, I did help him..uh..mentally, I advised him to take a break and do something else. I told you I stopped involving myself in technology and now find a new thing" He showed his camera as an excuse that he's into photography but in fact all the videos and pics that he took were for the memories that he's going to put into the cyborgs.

Eunwoo stared at the camera and back to Hongbin. He slowly trusted him and of course its not a harm to involve in technology and in fact he was just angry that Hakyeon wanted to take responsibilty for Hongbin's fault. But why only now he came back but where's the others?

"So you didn't know where they are now? Like how? Hakyeon hyung should at least tell you before he went somewhere." Eunwoo started to breath in relief that at least Hongbin was not a dangerous person as what he always doubted as.

Hongbin slowly shook his head. He was sorry to Eunwoo that he had no choice but to lie to him for everyone's safety. "I wish I know. But he only said he will be fine alone and the others also..probably went outside of the country to pursue their dreams. We lost our contacts just like that. I'm trying to find them back but I need to fix my life first. So instead of hiding, I braved myself to go out and live normally. To be honest what I did at that time, the cheating.."

"You regret?"

"Of course, I was just in love with what I have been doing and the competition was the first step to show the real me and the passion of me. But if only I confident with my team and my hardworking, it would not ended up like this. And we don't have to be separated like now."

Hongbin's explanation sounded so sincere to Eunwoo. He nodded slowly and they were silent for a few minutes.

"I found this cafe was so relaxing and calming. I captured a lot of nice pictures and, Heeyoung caught my attention. I thought I knew her somewhere and realized that she's my junior and had seen you guys at school a few times together. She's cute and kind, I feel like I'm alive again so that is why I come here everyday but had no courage to greet her."

"You wanna say Heeyoung is one of the reason you found a thing to be happy again? You like her?" Eunwoo squinted his eyes and started to judge Hongbin again. He cursed him in his mind "this jerk just loves everything thats mine aish you think im gonna let that."

"I think so..but for now I just want know her and appreciate every seconds that I have with her." Hongbin looked at his glass and smiled.

"You have to pass me first because Im the strongest wall of her. Don't dream you can get her just like that. You're still acting suspiciously to me" Eunwoo sipped his smoothie and glared at Hongbin who was just smiling at him weirdly.

"Okay Cha Eunwoo."
