Eunwoo stared at the road while gripping the steering wheels tightly. Yejin who sat at the passenger sit beside him looked at him worriedly. They have arrived at the hills where Hongbin's house was located at, but Eunwoo stopped the car at the side of the road as he tried to gain his courage.
"Eunwoo-yah". Yejin called him and he slowly turned towards her. "Are you sure about this? Don't you think we should find more information before mee-"
"No. I've waited enough. We are sure that something bad happened to Heeyoung." He took a deep breath and changed the gear to continue driving along the familiar road. Hongbin's house. The road that he remembered when he went to that house with his cousin, Hakyeon, years ago. The beginning of losing his own cousin to Lee Hongbin, how can he forget all of that. He slowed the car and parked at the side of the gate, hidden from the sight.
"This.." Yejin looked around the dark road and it's surrounding. "Nothing here except for this house." She unbuckled the seat belt and looked at Eunwoo who did the same and nodded at her. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, probably had a bad feeling about this.
"How can I forgot this house. I came here years ago with Hakyeon hyung. This house never changed. Come." He closed the door and so did Yejin. He didn't hesitate and walked straight to the gate, forcing Yejin to fasten her steps to follow him. He looked up and noticed a red dot that he quickly pulled Yejin into his embrace and hid behind the bushes.
Yejin widened her eyes and gasped while closing her mouth. "What's wrong?" She whispered to him while still in the hugging position. She can clearly heard his heartbeat, very calm. "How can he remained calm in this situation, I feel like dying" She thought. She looked up to see him through the dim light came from the nearby lamppost.
"CCTV" He whispered back and tried to figure a way from getting caught in the CCTV. He let a sigh since he thought that his car might get caught by CCTV already when they arrived earlier. He held Yejin's arm and pushed her softly to the wall behind him before he did the same position. "We need to stick to the wall, follow the flow and we can escape from the CCTV area, slow and steady" He nodded at Yejin and she nodded back.
They walked step by step, following the half wall-half fence that filled with Boston ivy so they can hide their bodies with it. They arrived at another small gate at the other side of the main gate, that luckily unlocked. "It's unlocked" Yejin looked at Eunwoo before he carefully pushed the gate, it made a creak sound, not surprised as it looked rather old and unused. Yejin followed closely from behind.
They walked through the flower garden and eventually stopped in front of the main door. Eunwoo walked through the stairs while Yejin tried to look around, no car and the only light was from the place they stood at the moment. Before she tried to tell Eunwoo, she heard a bell sound. She immediately turned, feeling kinda nervous for no reason. What if everything that they just assumed, were right after all?
They waited nervously for a moment before the door in front of them was swung opened.
"Ch- Cha Eunwoo?"
Their eyes met each other. Eunwoo teary eyes met with Heeyoung, the one he worried all these times. He can't hide his true feelings anymore when he suddenly pulled her into a hug, deep and -only they know how much they miss each other- hug.
Heeyoung let the door closed by itself where Taekwoon barely caught a familiar woman who might have noticed him before the door shut, separating Taekwoon with her and he didn't care much before he quickly went to his room- not bothering much about who came to the house late at night.
Heeyoung widened her eyes and can't believe with what just happened. She didn't move which made Eunwoo released the hug and caressed her cheek. Their eyes met again. "E..Eunwoo-yah.." She whispered and felt like her throat was stuck with something.
"I'm here." Just like her, he can't seem to find a word to speak after he looked at her. She does not look like what he expected, which he does not even know if he should be grateful for that. The suspicion is still in his mind especially when he looked at her eyes. It's pretty but, it looked rather different.
Heeyoung distanced herself from him and looked at his left, a woman. No way, she prayed that it's not something that she currently expected of. Yejin smiled and did a small bow to her, before she did the same. "I'm his co-worker." She didn't let her know her name and Heeyoung just nodded. A co-worker went here together, in the middle of the night? Very unusual.
"Why are you here?" Heeyoung asked Eunwoo and he tried to find some excuses and noticed that there's no car, which what Yejin tried to tell him earlier. He thought that Hongbin might not be here at the moment so he can take his time. "Eunwoo-yah?" Heeyoung called him again.
"I just come back from Russia. No one at your home, I bet you are at hyung's house which turned out to be true. What happened?" Eunwoo can't hold his curiosity anymore, he needs to know the truth. And he hoped that she can tell him the truth.
Heeyoung frowned and bit her lips. What should she tell him? Does he know what happened to her family? Is it fine to tell him? But he never asked anyway before this. Things were so messed up inside her mind that she can't open her mouth to say a single word. She looked down and tried to find something that can make sense to Eunwoo.
"Heeyoung-ah." Eunwoo slowly held her shoulder, tight and secured "I know something happened to you, but I want you to tell me by yourself so only that I can confirm everything that I assumed. You, in this house, there's no reason for you to live here except if your pare-"
She let him go when he almost spoke about her parents. Probably he knew or maybe not, she doesn't care. She almost burst into tears "What made you change your mind?" She asked and clasped her own hands tightly, tried to find a courage. Eunwoo frowned, signed that he didn't get what she was trying to say.
"What do you mean?"
She glared at him "You don't even care about me, you didn't ask what happened when you were there, at Russia. Now you came back, only then you pretend to be nice again? You don't know what I'm facing right now!" She burst into tears and closed her mouth to prevent any noise since the others might be sleeping.
Yejin and Eunwoo faced each other. Something happened. Something did happen. Yejin cleared her throat which made Heeyoung looked at her in curious. Now who is this woman? Heeyoung still had a bad impression towards her and wanted to say something but got cut off.
"Cha Eunwoo tried to call you. You didn't bother to pick up his calls? That guy who 'takes care' of you never told Eunwoo anything about you except that you lost your phone and had no time to call him because you are busy with your comic. Who doesn't care about who now?" Yejin accidentally exposed what she wanted to say since she felt bad that Eunwoo got accused.
Heeyoung widened her eyes in shock. Before she got to reply, something vibrated in her pyjamas pocket. Oh no, not at this time, please.
