Fred's POV
A/N- I was editing and realized this might be a bit confusing. This chapter goes back in time a little bit before the Yule ball starts from Fred's POV.

"Freddie wake up it's Christmas!" A voice said as someone hit me with a pillow.

I groaned as I looked up  at George. Then spotted the presents that were at the foot of my bed. I grinned at them.

George and I began unwrapping our presents, there were the usual sweaters from mum. Cassie had gotten us both sweets and things from Zonko's, practically the same thing we had gotten her.

Just then a thought occurred to me, "hey George?" I said, trying to get my twins attention away from his bag of sweets.

When he didn't answer I grabbed my pillow and threw it at him.

"Oi! I was going to answer!" He said and threw the pillow back at me.

I laughed and he through me a dirty look.

"Anyways, What was it you wanted to ask me Freddie?" He asked.

"Well, Cas has been spending a lot of time with Harry lately. You don't think they're together do you?" I questioned, trying to sound causal.

George frowned and said "I think if Cas was dating Harry, the world know. Besides she's going to the Yule Ball with that Alexandre person."

George must have noticed me pull a face because he added, "come on Fred, you know she doesn't fancy him right? Besides she would be going with you if you would have just asked her."

I felt my cheeks heat up, "maybe I didn't want to ask her. And she probably would have said no" I muttered. George gave me a 'Yeah right' look.
"Shut up" I grumbled.

George was one person I couldn't lie to, he's always see right through it. My mind drifted back to Cassie, even if she and Harry weren't together, how much they were together lately was weird. Finally I shrugged it off, she was probably just hanging out with him because I'd been such an arse lately.

I was outside in the middle of a snowball fight with George, Harry and Ron. Hermione sat watching us, and laughed when George got hit in the face with a snowball.

George looked up at something, and shouted "Cas! Care to join us?" I looked up to see Cassie standing by Hermione. She nodded and George said "Excellent pick a side."

Cas, looked between us for a second. "Come to our side!" Harry and Ron begged her. She looked at them and then, with a smirk on her face came to join me and George.

I grinned at her, which she returned happily. George and I laughed as she hit Harry with a big snowball. He glared at her, she grinned at him and he rolled his eyes. They're more like siblings then anything else I thought.

For once it felt like things were the way they used to be with us. I wasn't being such an arse that it caused Cas to glare, shout at me, or storm off.

I was disappointed when Hermione called to her that they had to go get ready. Cassie said goodbye to us, she smiled at me, which I gladly returned.

"What you need three hours?" Ron shouted after them, surprised.

'Course they do they're girls Ron, I thought rolling my eyes.

"We've got a lot of work to do Ronniekins" Cassie shouted at him, I snorted at the nick name.

"Who are you going with?" Ron then shouted after Hermione.

She ignored him, and he regretted being distracted when George hit him in the face with a snowball.

We were outside, throwing snow at each other for a few more hours. We eventually decided that even we should look somewhat nice for the ball, and went to go get ready.

George and I changed into our dress robes, and ran combs through our hair.

"Why do have to wear these stupid robes?" I questioned.

"Because the dance requires formal clothing Freddie. At least these are better than Ron's, anyways I'm sure Cassie will think you look quite nice" George replied smirking.

I rolled my eyes, although he was right about these being better then Rons. We finished getting ready, and went to the Gryffindor common room to meet our dates.

Angelina came down with Katie bell, and they walked over smiling to George and I. Lee had asked Alicia Spinnet and they had already left. Angelina looked very pretty, she had a dark red dress on and her hair was up.

We were about to leave when Angelina and Katie both gasped, staring up at the stairs to the girls to the girls dormitory. I turned to see what she was looking at, and my mouth dropped open slightly.

Cassie was standing at the top of the stairs, she looked so beautiful I almost didn't notice Ginny and Hermione besides her.

Her long, dark red hair was curled, and pushed back by a black headband. Her green eyes seemed to pop wit the little make up she had put on. Her black and gold dress fit her perfectly, and she looked taller then she usually was.

I made a step towards her.

No, I'm with Angelina, I cursed at myself.

That was the moment I realized how much of a mistake it was asking Angelina instead of Cassie.

I hadn't realized I had been staring until George elbowed me in the side, smirking slightly.

I turned back to Angelina, who gave me a funny look although she didn't seem mad.

"Are you ready?" I asked her, and she nodded.

We turned and headed out of the portrait hole. I glanced back one last time at Cassie, who was saying goodbye to Harry. Wow, was all I could think, before I winked at Harry and ducked out of the portrait hole.

A/N- I hope everyone liked this chapter. It was a bit shorter then they usually are, but the next chapter is filled with drama so hopefully that makes up for it. Thank you all so much for reading xox
