Cassiopeia's POV
I stood in the common room, I said goodbye to Ginny, then walked over to Harry. He was standing by Parvati and Ron. Hermione had disappeared.

"Hi Harry, Ron. You look beautiful Parvarti," I said as I walked up to them.

"Thank you, so do you" Parvarti said with a smile.

The boys both said hi, and Ron asked me where Hermione was, I shrugged. I looked over at the portrait hole just in time to see Fred wink at my brother.

I had been trying to keep my eyes away from him and Angelina. I turned to the small group and said "should we go?" They all nodded, and we turned and walked out of the portrait hole.

Alexandre was waiting for me in the entrance hall. He smiled when he saw me and I walked down the stairs towards him. We linked arms and he said "you look stunning."

"Thank you" I said with a smile.

The entrance hall was decorated beautifully, there were even fairy lights on the ceiling.

"Champions over here please" Professor McGonagall called.

I had completely forgotten the champions had to open the ball. Alexandre and I stood next to Harry and Parvarti on side of the doors.

I smirked as Harry looked enviously at Cho and Cedric. Then tried not to giggle as his jaw dropped when he saw how beautiful Hermione looked. McGonagall has us all follow her in a line, and the great hall applauded as we entered.

We began dancing, Alexandre was a very good dancer, I was a bit embarrassed. I definitely wasn't as good at dancing as he was.

Soon enough we were sitting down at a table. We were with Harry, Parvarti, Hermione, Viktor, Ron, and Padma. I was talking excitedly to Alexandre, and giggled when I heard Hermione trying to explain to Viktor how to say her name.

The tables were cleared and the champions began to dance again. I bit my cheek as I watched Harry and Parvarti dancing, he was determinedly avoiding eye contact with anyone.

Soon enough there were other people dancing. Ginny was wincing as Neville stepped on her toes, Padma looked miserable as Ron was glaring at Hermione, who looked very happy at the moment.

Alexandre and I danced for a while, I was slowly getting a bit better with a little help. He seemed to find it amusing that I wasn't the best dancer.

"Do you care for a drink?" Alexandre asked me and I nodded. Almost a second after he left, I was approached by Fred.

"Would you like to dance?" He asked and I nodded.

We danced for a few minutes before Fred said "how come you came to the ball with him?"

"Because he asked me and he's my friend!" I told him a bit defensively. "Why does it matter Fred?"

"I saw him talking to Fleur Delacour earlier, I think that's why he asked you to the ball" he said matter of factly.

"And what's that supposed to mean?" I asked him.

"He's trying to get hints about that egg for her from you! That's why he asked you!"

"Oh, I see. The only reason someone would ask me to the ball is because they want something from me, is that right? For your information Weasley, some people might actually like me! And Fleur is my friend too!" I said, we had now stopped dancing, and we were glaring at each other slightly.

"Oh so you're hanging around with the enemy now are you? He only likes you because you're one of the champions you know?" Fred said crossing his arms.
