Cassiopeia's POV
The Knight Bus was filled with mismatched chairs. My mood was dull as I climbed onto it. The bus was to take us to Hogwarts, the Christmas holidays had ended. None of of us seemed to excited to go back to school. Least of all, me and Harry.
Besides the DA there was nothing for us to look forward too. Umbridge would still be there, we still had to have Occlumency with Snape, and I knew we were both going to miss Remus and Sirius. Sirius had hugged us both and then we had been rushed out the door. We'd barely gotten to say goodbye.
I was sitting next to Remus, this was the last time I'd see my godfather before school ended. Fred was on the other side of me, I smiled at him when he looked over at me. Suddenly the bus took off and we were all thrown off our chairs.
Everyone was rubbing some part of their bodies when they stood up. My elbow had hit the ground hard, and so had Fred's head. We muttered things as we all sat back in our seats. This bus must have some sort of safety violation they could get in serious trouble for.
I must have spaced out for a while because I jumped when someone nudged me. Glancing to my left, I saw Remus looking at me with a concerned expression.
"Are you okay Cassie?" He asked.
"I guess.. it's just that there isn't much to look forward to, is there? I mean with Umbridge teaching, half of my best friends banned from the Quidditch team, and now Occlumency with Snape..."
"Ah I see. Even with all those things there's always something to look forward to. You've just got to find it. Besides, you have this one to keep you entertained" Remus said, looking over my shoulder.
I turned around to see Fred and George having a sword fight with their wands. I smiled at the scene and turned back to my godfather.
"Are you sure I can't just come live with you now?" I asked hopefully.
Remus smiled sadly, "I'm afraid not. But as soon as the school year ends you can. As long as you're sure you still want too..."
"Of course I do!" I exclaimed.
My godfather smiled again, "then you certainly can."
All to soon the knight bus stopped outside of Hogwarts. Tonks and Remus helped us with our luggage, and then said goodbye. I hugged Tonks tightly, and she promised to tell me all about the next Weird Sisters concert.
Remus got to me last. He pulled me into a tight hug. I hugged him back tightly, wishing I could just go back with him.
"Hang in there, okay Cassie?" He said.
I gave him a small, sad smile, "I'll try."
The next thing I new, the knight bus was gone. The seven of us started up the slippery slope to the castle gates. Every step I took brought more dread than the last.
"You okay, love?" Fred asked, wrapping his arm around my shoulder.
"Fantastic" I grumbled.
"Do I detect some sarcasm, Miss Potter?" He asks.
"Lots of it."
"What's wrong?" Fred asks a little more seriously.
"We're just back here. Back being stuck with Umbridge, and now I have Occlumency lessons to make it worse" I told him.
"You could always skip it and stay and study with me instead" Fred said, a smirk pulling at his lips. He was clearly hinting at something more then studying.
I felt my cheeks heat up, "Fred Weasley!" I exclaimed, smacking his arm.
"Only joking... mostly."
