Fred's POV
"Fred will you stop?" George exclaimed. "You shaking your leg is not going to make her come out of there any faster. And your making me nervous."
"I can't help it!" I argued, not taking my eyes off of the maze. It had been at least an hour since they had entered the maze. Both Fleur Delacour and Viktor Krum had been removed from the maze, but there was no sign of Cedric, Harry or Cassie.
"Where are they?" Lee asked next to me.
"Don't you think if Fred knew that, he'd stop being so worried about Cas?" George replied.
"Maybe. He might still be very worried about his girlfriend" Lee said.
"Will you two shut up?"I asked, rolling my eyes.
"Just trying to lighten the mood" Lee murmured.
I stared at the maze, not wanting to take my eyes off of it. Cas would have to be out any minute now, she had to be safe.
Suddenly there were three people laying on the ground outside of the maze. Cedric was lying face up, not moving. Harry was holding onto the triwizard cup, and Cedric. Cas was holding onto Harry tightly, and even from here I could see she was shaking.
"Somethings wrong" I said, standing up quickly. I felt panicked, Cassie was still lying face down, shaking badly. I ran as far as I could before George held me back.
"Let go George! I need to make sure Cassie is okay!"
"She is. Fred breathe, she's alive. She's breathing, Look she's walking this way, she's alive" George said trying to calm me down.
"But she's hurt! Look at her arm!"
"She'll be okay, she's with Professor Moody now."
I turned around to see the three, coming closer to where I was standing with George. I could barely make out what Harry was saying.
"You- you remember?" Harry said in a shocked voice.
"Of course I remember! I remember everything, but I can't- nothing is making sense! Harry what's going on?" Cassie sobbed. There were tears running down her face, she was looking around like she didn't understand where she was.
What did she remember? What happened that she couldn't make sense of anything? I wondered as I sat in the Gryffindor common room waiting for news on where Cassie and Harry had ended up. Moody had dragged them and nobody had seen them since.
George and I sat in the common room in silence, for what felt like hours. It was quieter then usual, everyone was upset about Cedric's death. Finally Ginny clambered into the portrait hole.
"They're ... in... the... hospital wing" Ginny panted. She bent down, she had clearly run all the way here.
The four of us jumped to our feet, and followed Ginny back out of common room to the hospital wing.
We burst through the hospital wing doors. Bill, Mum, Ron, Hermione and Dumbledore all sat around two beds. A black dog was there too. Professor Moody was laying in another bed at the other end of the hospital wing.
"Freddie! George! Gin!" Cassie whispered, managing a small, sad smile.
"I told you she was alive" George said.
"Shut up" I muttered, as I whacked the back of his head with my hand.
I sat down on Cassie's bed, looking down at her arm that was heavily bandaged.
"I got bit by a rather poisonous snake" she muttered, seeing where I was looking. Cassie looked exhausted.
"Is she going to be alright?" I asked Madam Pomfrey.
"I managed to work out what that memory charm did to her... although she'll probably still be a bit confused, it's probably best that she sleeps" she said.
"Who used a memory charm on her?" George and I asked at the same time.
"Voldemort" Cassie and Harry both said, though Cassie's words came out as a hoarse whisper. She sat up, and I noticed that she was still shaking.
"He's really back?" Ginny whispered. Cassie nodded.
The room had fallen silent. Cassie moved closer to me, and rested her head on my shoulder. I wrapped my arm carefully around her shoulder.
Madam Pomfrey bustled into her office, and came out with two small viles. "You two better drink this. It's a potion for a dreamless sleep." She handed a vile to each of them. Cassie drank the potion, and her eyelids began to droop.
She scooted over, and patted the bed. "Will you please stay with me Freddie?" She whispered quietly.
I nodded and scooted closer to her. She rested her head on my chest and fell asleep almost immediately. I smiled down at her, and then looked up at everyone.
"Why are you all looking at me like that?" I asked.
"Oh no reason dear" Mum said with a smile.
"I've told you. You and Cas are just so cute" Ginny stated. I rolled my eyes at her, turning my attention back to the red head asleep on my chest.
Not to long after Harry and Cassie had fallen asleep, we heard yelling outside the hospital wing. And soon the argument was brought into the hospital wing.
"He's not here! This is a hospital wing, Minister don't you think you'd do better to.." Mum started to say angrily. But just then the door opened and Dumbledore came in.
"You are prepared to believe that Lord Voldemort has returned, on the word of a lunatic murderer, the daughter of a death eater, and a boy who well..." Fudge was saying.
"You've been reading Rita Skeeter, Mr. Fudge" Harry and Cassie said at the same time. Everyone in the room jumped, nobody had noticed they were awake.
The minister started accusing Harry of being crazy, which seemed to infuriate Cassie.
"He's not crazy! We both saw Voldemort come back!" She shouted, trying to get out of bed. I grabbed her and pulled her back down as mum shoved Harry back into his bed.
We watched Dumbledore and the Minister go back and forth for a while.
"He can't be back Dumbledore he just can't be.." Fudge muttered. But then Snape moved forward, and rolled up his sleeve.
"There. The dark mark. It is not as clear as it was about an hour or so ago, when it burned black, but you can still see it..." Snape went on about the dark mark, and I looked down at Cassie. There were tears in her eyes.
"What's wrong?" I whispered.
"Nothing" she whispered into my chest.
"You don't have to lie to me Cas."
"I just don't want to talk about it right now."
"Okay."
I could tell there was something else bothering her besides what had happened tonight. Madam Pomfrey left the hospital wing, and Dumbledore turned back to everyone.
"And now... it is time for two of our number to recognize each other for what they are. Sirius if you could resume your usual form."
The dog looked at Dumbledore, then turned into a man.
"Sirius Black!" Mum shrieked.
"Mum shut up it's okay!" Ron yelled back.
"Him!" Snape snarled. "What is he doing here?"
"He is here at my invitation. As are you Severus. I trust you both. It is time for you to lay aside your old differences and trust each other" Dumbledore said. He then made the two shake hands.
The two men moved towards each other, with nothing but dislike in their faces. They shook hands and let go extremely quickly.
"Now I have work for each of you. Fudges attitude, though not unexpected, changes everything. Sirius, I need you to set off at once. You are to alert Remus Lupin, Arabella Figg, Mundungus Fletcher- the old crowd. Lie low at Lupins for a while. I will contact you there."
"But.." Harry said, disappointed.
"You will see me very soon Harry" Sirius Black said. "And you too" He said with a smile, turning to Cassie, who also smiled.
"Severus, you know what I must ask you to do. If you are ready... if you are prepared.."
"I am."
"Then good luck."
Sirius Black and Professor Snape left the the room. I was definitely confused, how did Sirius Black know Cassie and Harry? Dumbledore finally broke the silence moments later.
"I must go downstairs. I must see the Diggorys. Harry- Cassiopeia.. I assume it is now safe to tell your friends, but not tonight. You both need your rest. Take the rest of your potions. I will see you later." He said.
Tell us what? Neither Cassie or Harry moved to take their potion. Cassie was glaring at the gold Fudge had left at the foot of her bed. Mum convinced Harry to take his potion, and then came over to Cassie.
"Oh.. Cas... you need to take your potion" mum whispered.
"I don't want to. I don't want to sleep" she whispered, hiding her face in my shirt.
"I- oh... Fred?" Mum asked, turning to me.
"I can try" I muttered. "Cas.. come on. You need to rest, take your potion please?" I whispered quietly. She looked up, her eyes were stinging with tears. "I'll be here the whole time I promise, but you need to take it."
"You'll be here the whole time?"
"Yes."
Cassie sat up, and grabbed the vile with her potion in it. She sipped the rest of it and laid back down on my chest, falling asleep immediately. I played with her hair, careful not to wake her up.
"Oh... you two are just lovely together!" Mum exclaimed as she came back over.
"I- what? Mum!" I sputtered.
"What? You are."
"Cassie and I are just friends!"
"Maybe for now."
A/N- Not exactly the best chapter, I didn't have very many ideas for this one. I hope you all liked it anyways. Thank you all for reading xox.
