Cassiopeia's POV
Harry and I were staring at each other completely mortified. They couldn't possibly have invited the Dursley's and Bellatrix Lestrange.
"They wouldn't.." I whispered.
"They cant have" he whispered back as Cedric called us into the chamber.
We glanced at each other before we walked in. Fleur was talking in rapid French to her parents and little sister. Cedric was talking to his parents, and Krum was talking to his. But no sign of Bellatrix or the Dursley's. Thank Merlin.
My eyes fell onto Bill and Mrs. Weasley last. "Bill! Mrs. Weasley!" I nearly shouted as I tackled Bill in a bear hug.
"Hi Cas" he said laughing. I turned to Mrs. Weasley and hugged her, and Harry turned to Bill.
"You all right?" He said grinning, "Charlie wanted to come but he couldn't get time off. He said you were incredible against the dragons." I looked over at Fleur, who was eyeing Bill. I smirked at her, and shot her a wink. She turned a light shade of pink, but didn't look away.
Harry and I were giving the two a tour. Harry was talking to Mrs. Weasley a bit away from me and Bill.
"So, has my little brother made any moves on you yet?" Bill asked, a smirk in his voice.
"I um.. what?" I said awkwardly.
"Fred. Honestly, the only two people who don't realize you two are crazy about each other, are you and Fred" He said.
I started to play with my hair nervously as we all started to head back to the castle for lunch. Harry and I were sitting with almost the entire Weasley family. It was practically perfect, I was in between Harry and Bill. Fred and George sat across from me.
Hermione showed up halfway through, and Harry started to ask if she had figured anything out. But Hermione shot him a look, and shook her head.
"Hello, Hermione" Mrs. Weasley said a bit coolly.
"Hello" Hermione said, her smile faltering.
Harry began to assure Mrs. Weasley that Hermione had never been his girlfriend. I giggled as Fred and George started arguing over the last sandwich. I glanced over at Bill who was smirking again. I glared at him, he held his hands up and smiled innocently.
I stayed with Harry and the two Weasley's until after the feast, when we were called down to the stadium.
Ludo Bagman was pestering Harry again, I had half a mind to hex him. I dropped back to talk to Fleur.
"He's single you know?" I said quietly.
"I don't know what you are talking about" Fleur said.
"Yeah you do. I saw you eyeing him. His name is Bill, he's a curse breaker in Egypt and he is single" I told her.
"Well... 'e is very 'andsome" she said with a smile.
"Smart too" I added.
The whistle blew, Cedric, Harry and I all turned and walked into the maze. We all walked in the same direction for a minute before we went out separate ways. There was complete silence aside from my footsteps. The obstacles Hagrid provided couldn't be that bad could they? Who am I kidding, of course they are, I thought to myself.
I walked on,keeping watch out for dangerous creatures. I heard something rustle behind me, and saw a large snake. I nearly screamed. I don't know what made me do it, but I decided to talk to the snake instead.
"Leave me alone" I said. But the words didn't sound like words at all, it was a strange hissing. The same hissing Harry had done when he talked the snake away from Justin in our second year. Merlin, I didn't know I could do that. The snake didn't move for a second, then it lunged forward so quickly I didn't have a chance to move. The snakes fangs sunk into my arm. I screamed out in pain and grabbed my arm.
I turned back to the snake and said "leave me alone" again. The snake actually obeyed. It turned and slithered in the opposite direction. I looked at my arm, there was blood dripping from where the snake had bit me.
"Isn't this year full of surprises, I get a twin brother, entered into a tournament, I can speak parseltounge and a snake just bit me" I muttered to myself.
The silence was terrible, the only sound was still my footsteps. Suddenly, ear splitting scream erupted through the air.
"Fleur?" I shouted, panic washing over me. I ran over to the direction I had heard the scream from. I shot red sparks into the air and ran off. "She'll be fine" I tried to assure myself. Everything was silent again.
My nerves were starting to get the best of me, I kept thinking I heard footsteps, or seeing things out of the corner of my eye. God, this is creepy.
Crack! That was definitely a real sound. I turned around and my jaw almost dropped open in shock.
There was another me standing there. But this me was different, she was wearing dark clothes, and her hair was jet black. I looked just like Bellatrix. I looked evil.
The other me had a smirk on her face. It wasn't a smirk Fred and George would give you when they were planning something, this smirk was evil. She pulled the left sleeve of her dress up, a malevolent gleam in her eye.
"No."
My left arm was branded with the dark mark. Tears were stinging my eyes, until I realized. This must be a boggart.
"Riddikulus" I shouted, the boggart was now covered in bright polka dots. I giggled, and the boggart disappeared. I continued on, the image of the dark mark on my arm still fresh in my mind.
I had fought my way through a bunch of Cornish Pixies. They were more annoying than dangerous. I turned a corner and saw Cedric, who was running away from a blast-ended skrewt.
Cedric smiled at me briefly, then turned the corner. The skrewt turned on me, "oh Merlin" I muttered. "Impedimenta! Petrificus totalus! Reducio!" I started shouting whatever spells came into my head. It was useless, they all just bounced off.
I turned around and ran, but not before my robes were set on fire. I stamped it out, and continued running. The skrewt chased me, but I eventually lost it.
I turned a corner and smacked into somebody.
"Ouch" we both muttered.
"Hi Harry."
"Hey Cas."
I looked over and saw Cedric, then the triwizard Cup. I looked down and noticed Harry's leg was bleeding.
"What happened?" I asked him.
"Giant spider" Harry said, "what about your arm?"
"Giant snake" I muttered. The skrewt had been a distraction from the pain my my arm.
"We're going to take the Cup together, want to join us?" Cedric asked.
"Wha- why would you do that?" I asked Cedric.
"You helped me with the first task too. I don't think I ever repaid you for that" he told me.
"Oh you don't need to repay me for anything" I told him.
"Yes I do. Come on, how often do three people win the triwizard tournament?"
"Oh.. alright" I said with a grin.
The three of us ran forward. "On the count of three. One.. two.. three..."
There was a lurch behind my naval. Like a hook had yanked me back. We were all spinning, and then we hit the ground. Hard.
A/N- So the part in the maze was a bit short. I'm sorry Fred hasn't really been in the last few chapters. There will be one more chapter, and then I promise he'll be in it a lot more, the next chapter is super important for information on Cassie's past. The next chapter will probably be pretty long. Thanks for reading xox.
