Brian's pov-
"All this food is shit."I heard the familiar grumble of one of my bestfriends.
"Jimmy why the fuck are you in my kitchen at eleven a.m?"I asked walking in the kitchen to be greeted by Jimmy's ass sticking out of the fridge.
"Looking for food. What the fuck is this soy milk shit for?"he popped his head out of the fridge holding up the carton with a confused look on his face.
"Lauren drinks it."I shrugged, looking through the cabinets. He took a sip of soy milk and then scrunched his nose up, obviously not liking it.
"Don't you have any bacon or pancake mix?"he asked.
"There's cerial."I said taking a handful of fruit loops in my mouth before grabbing a bowl from one of the cabinets. I walked to the fridge and pulled out the milk, setting all of it on the counter before pouring it all together.
"Come on man. I come here for a quality meal and all you have to offer is some fuckin cerial?" he groaned, but grabbed the fruit loops anyway.
"Get a quality meal from your own damn house."I said through a mouthful of fruit loops.
"I don't cook. You on the other hand know how to cook and you have a wife that can cook. Can't you two make yourselves useful?"he asked before shoving a spoonful of cerial in his mouth. I shrugged and he went on with his gabbering. "Where is that wife of yours by the way?"
"I dunno. Out with her friends or somethin I guess...And that wife of mine has a name ya know."I added.
"Yea, Godzilla."he mumbled but loud enough for me to hear. I picked up the closest thing to me which was a roll of papaer towels and threw it at his head. Not very effective, I know.
"So when you gonna get off your ass and get Jazz to forgive you?"he asked out of the blue.
"Jimmy, like I said the last two hundred damn times you asked me, I don't fucking know and I've been trying for the past two months. Get off my back will ya?"
"Well I visited her yesterday. She seemed pretty down."
"I've been down too. It's not my fault she won't just forgive me already."
"And it's not her fault you had to be an asshole."he snapped. Just then we heard the door open followed by the clicking of Laurens heels against the floor.
"Oh good you're already awake."she said with a smile as she first saw me. That smile fell when she noticed Jimmy sitting at the island and in return Jimmy's look hardened but gave a smile smile anyway. I don't think he even tried to make it look like a friendly smile, just one of those 'yea I'm here in your presence whatcha gonna do about it' smile. Lauren then gave me a kiss on the cheek before giving me a stern look. I acted as if I hadn't noticed it and she turned her gaze to Jimmy who gave her a look as if he were waiting for her to start bitching. I rolled my eyes and moved to put my bowl in the sink. It's like everytime they're around each other they're fighting for territory over me or something. But it's always the same thing between these two. They share the same waiting glances. Jimmy waiting for her to bitch or exit the room, Lauren waiting for Jimmy to just fall of the face of the fucking earth or something. And it always results in Lauren getting agrrevated and going somewhere else, leaving Jimmy with some sense of acheivment. It drives me insane how childish they get.
"So babe, I was thinking we could do something today."she suggested looking through the fridge. "Just you and me."she added glancing at Jimmy, who shook his head chuckling silently to himself.
"I was actually just about to head over to the studio with Jimmy."I told her.
"You can't spare a couple of hours with your wife?" She pulled the soy milk out of the fridge and took a sip right out of the carton. I glanced at Jimmy who was covering his mouth with his hand, trying to stifle a laugh. I rolled my eyes already knowing the reason behind his amusement.
