Jazz's pov-
It's been about a week and a half since I found out Lauren left, meaning she's been gone for almost three weeks and I think Brian is finally starting to come to terms with it. Yea he's still upset but he's getting better. Slowly but surely.
For the past week and a half I've practically lived with Brian. I stay at his house for the night then I got up early so I can go home and get ready for work. And after work I go straight to his house. And then do the same thing the next day.
We usually play guitar hero since that's like the only video game he really likes, or we watch our favorite movies or tv shows. He's finally started getting into writing and playing again. Not in the studio yet but he's working on some stuff. The guys all know about the situation so they understand his reasons for not being in the studio. They stopped by one or twice during the week to see how he was doing and once in a while they would email him something fromthe studio.
Tonight's going to be the first time I get him out of the house. Michelle and Val are having a party for their brother and since Michelle and I have gotten close she invited me. I felt bad about going to his party though since I don't even know the guy but she insisted. Apparently he's a nice guy and wouldn't mind more people to party with so I'm bringing Brian along. Plus Matt's going to be there and he begged me to go so he wouldn't have to meet most of Val's family by himself. He's only met her parents and he's nervous about meeting other people because of past experiances. You know how people get when they see their precious daughter or niece or whatever dating a tattooed rockstar. They can't get past that part and automatically assum he's no good. But at least her parents seem to like him already.
"Bri, are you ready yet?"I shouted up the stairs.
"Yes, I'm right here. Seesh woman, no need to shout."he smirked as he reached the bottom step. I was glad to see that his old self was slowly starting to come back.
"Well let's go then."
The party was being held at Val and Michelle's house, which was only about twenty minutes away. When we got there Matt was standing outside waiting for us.
"Thank god you guys are here."he said as he approached us.
"Why?"Brian chuckled.
"I've been avoiding conversations with the family this whole time."
"Are they that bad?"I asked holding back a laugh.
"No, they seem fine actually. But I don't know if they'll like me because of my appearance. That's why I need you to be there to help with a good impression."he said smiling at me.
"Dude I look almost the same as you."I laughed looking down at my black jeans, and gray v-neck which showed a bit of cleavage and my tattoos.
"Yea but you're cute and seem to somehow charm people with that sweet smile. Now let's go, you need to get to work."he said ushering me inside while I laughed and Brian followed.
"Jazz! I'm so glad you could make it!"Michelle exclaimed pulling me into a hug. "Good to see you Bri."she smiled giving him a hug also. "Oh Matt, my sister's looking for you."she said pushing him in the direction Val was in. He looked back at me as if silently asking for help. I laughed and rolled my eyes before turning my attention back to Michelle and Brian.
"So where's the birthday boy?"I asked.
"Right this way."she smiled grabbing both mine and Brian's hands and leading us towards a little crowd of people.
"Chris."she said tapping a man's shoulder to get his attention. "This is Jazz, the girl I was telling you about. And this is Brian."
"Hey it's nice to meet the both of you."he smiled reaching his hand out to shake mine first. We shook his hand and told him happy birthday.
