Vanessa wakes up to see the sun shining through the window.

She twists and turns on the bed, facing the other side, only to see Kaden fast asleep.

Her left hand is set on his as she admires him. His messy dirty blonde hair, the light brown stubble on his face, his lips that are set on a peaceful smile as he slept.

She moves a little closer, and kisses his forehead, accidentally waking him up.

"Good morning babe," he says as he stretches.

"Morning baby. I'm so sorry for waking you up," she answers. Kaden smiles.

"It's alright," he says. They lay there in silence for a couple moments. "I have a lot of things planned for today," he says, his hand set on one of Vanessa's thighs.

Her alarm suddenly went off, meaning that it was time for her to get Annika ready.

She took a day off since Kaden came back, her colleagues Amanda and Rebecca were so happy for her.

"See? Told ya he'd be back," Amanda said last night in the phone call.

She loves her colleagues, they're amazing friends as well.

"I'm excited baby," Vanessa quickly says as she stands up and heads for the restroom.

She pulls on the first t-shirt she sees and hurries to wake Annika up.

She gets her ready and leaves to get her to school.

Vanessa gets home, entering in with her keys.

She heads to her room, wondering what Kaden was doing.

This is just like the time I went to Grayson's house, Vanessa thinks. What if he's with another-, She shakes away the thought and quietly listens to the sound her footsteps make on the wooden floor as she walked.

She enters her room, only to get pushed against the wall by Kaden.

He smashes his lips with hers and they kiss, perfectly in sync.

Kaden's body was pushed against Vanessa's, him kissing her like she was his oxygen to breathe.

His hands were on her hips, them roaming around her body like he's never felt the soothing heat of her.

They finally separate, Kaden smirking.

"I love you, baby," he says to Vanessa. Vanessa smiles as she leans over and pecks him on his lips.

"I love you too," she says.

She really does, but she couldn't stop thinking about him. His lips.

She couldn't stop thinking about the loss of that tingling feeling when she kissed Kaden.

Only Grayson can do that to her. Only he can be planted in her heart, the love growing as time went by.

She's trying to kill it, but nothing will let that happen, not even a natural disaster.

Vanessa and Kaden are sitting on a small square table in the little coffee cafe.

"Why were you gone for so long?" Vanessa asks Kaden. His face drops.

"Work, didn't I tell you that?" he answers seriously, his voice deeper.

"Five months of work Kaden?" she asks suspiciously. He looks at her with a toothy smile. He knows it drives her nuts.

"I'm sowwy," he says. Vanessa chuckles and shakes her head.

She suddenly feels a vibration from her phone.

She usually doesn't like to check her phone when she's out with someone, but she has a feeling, a feeling that she needs to.

She grabs her phone and presses the home button of her iPhone 7+, only to see that she got a notification from Instagram.

She reads the notification and sighs in disbelief. This can't be happening, someone has to be playing with her.

She unlocks her phone with her fingerprint and opens Instagram.

It was true.

She did get a DM from the person she least expected.

She got a DM from @veronicamerrell.
