Baby Shower pt.1

Veronica

*five months later*

I swipe the red lipstick on my lips and look at myself in the mirror. You'll do amazing, Roni. I think to myself.

I shift over to my full body mirror and look at my body. My six months pregnant stomach is huge, and it looks even bigger in the light pink and blue dress I'm wearing.

"I'll know what gender you are soon, little one," I say to the baby inside of my stomach. "You're gonna be so loved."

"Indeed she is," says Ethan as he enters our room, walks over to me, and gives me a quick welcoming peck on the lips. He looks irresistible in a light pink button-down with black pants.

"How are you so sure it's a girl?" I ask him. He smiles.

"You're glowing and you've never looked more beautiful. To me, that's a sign that there's a beautiful baby girl growing inside of you," he says. He kneels down so he's leveled with my stomach. "You're gonna be so loved, Mamacita."

"Mamacita?" I laugh.

"Yeah, what's wrong with that?" he laughs. "I'm just complimenting her so she gets out of the womb with confidence! Plus, she's a hot mama because she's inside a hot mama!"

"Babe, I think you had too much coffee today," I say. He laughs before standing up.

"Nah, you just make me insane with how beautiful you are," he says. I fake gag from his cheesiness before deciding to fix my makeup so we can leave for the gender reveal party. Even though I've been married to this man for almost eight years now, I'm still not used to his cheesiness.

"Do you think we're gonna be really surprised?" I ask.

"Yeah, I think they have a few tricks up their sleeves but I know our gender reveal for them this weekend is gonna be way better," says Ethan as he smirks.

Yes, Nessa is pregnant again. She found out about four months ago that she's expecting yet another baby. Even after the doctor said that she had a low chance of having a baby ever again, she's a miracle woman and proved the doctor wrong.

What she doesn't know is that today, not only is it a very special day for me, but it's a special day for her as well.

Grayson's gonna propose to her again, properly. She still has the ring on but he wants to propose again before they get married this weekend, which is also when we're revealing the gender of their expecting baby.

They were going to get married months ago, but that didn't work out because Annika got really sick with a fever and they had to cancel the arrangement to take care of her. After that, Nessa got sick and then everyone got sick. They want everyone to be okay when they get married, so they waited some time to make sure everyone that they want is able to attend, and are healthy.

"Are you ready to leave?" asks Ethan.

"Yes, let's go!" I say. He holds my hand and we walk together, out of the house and into our car, about to find out the gender of our second baby.

As we enter the house beside ours, I instantly smell cake. "Mmmm I want cake."

"You have to wait," says Grayson as he comes closer to me. "Nessa made it for you, and it has the baby's gender inside."

"Oh wow, Nessa baked the cake?" says Ethan. "I've suddenly lost my appetite."

Grayson smacks his arm. "Shut up! She's my wife."

"Almost wife," I say as I wink at Grayson. I see Nessa coming towards us.

"Enough talking guys!" she says as she holds my hand. "Come on Roni, let's cut the cake!"

"Can't I come?" says Ethan.

Nessa looks at him like he just asked the most obvious question and she wants to smack him. "No. You can't. She's having my baby so I'll cut the cake with her."

"That's incest," says Grayson, making all of us laugh. "Sweet Home Alabama."

We all laugh. "Has your brother always been this dumb, babe?" asks Nessa, looking at Grayson. Ethan glares at her and I laugh.

"Yeah, he's proven to be the dumber twin," says Gray, looking at Ethan. Ethan just stands there, not knowing who to envy anymore. "Ok bro, come on let's cut the cake!"

Vanessa

Seeing my sister and her husband walking close to the cake I made for them brought tears to my eyes.

Never in a million years did I think I was going to witness this, especially almost seven months ago. It didn't seem like I would continue looking after my twin sister and didn't think we would be sharing such important times in our lives. I didn't think we would both be pregnant at the same time, our babies in our arms only about a month or two apart.

I'm beyond thankful that I found her again. And if I didn't, it wouldn't have been the same without everyone in my life. They might have caused me trouble, but they have shaped who I am and what my life is right now.

"Can we cut it now?" asks Roni, looking at me. She has a tear in her eye too from seeing me this way. I wipe a tear and nod my head. I look at our cameraman, who is taking a video of the whole thing so we can finally revive our channels. He nods his head to tell me that he's been recording.

Roni looks at Ethan and smiles before grabbing the knife that sits just beside the cake itself. She grabs it, and Ethan's hand goes over hers and covers the handle of the knife entirely.

"3...2...1..." Grayson counts down.

Ethan

Roni and I both press down into the cake and move our hand to cut again so we would have a good slice. I let go of the knife and grab a spatula, slowly taking the piece out.

As soon as I did, I see pink inside of the white frosted cake. We are having a baby girl.

"I knew it!" I yell. Roni laughs and looks at me before kissing me. It was a very passionate kiss, and I can see Grayson covering Annika and Grant's eyes with the corner of my eye.

We break apart, and Roni smiles at me. Oh, that beautiful smile with that one dimple. I'll never get used to how contagious it is, and it belongs to my wife. "I love you."

She smiles wider if that was even possible. "I love you too, babe."

Oh umm...hello, do I know you?

HAHA just kidding! How are you guys? Oh my God, it's been FOREVER!!!

Junior year was so stressful bro, I apologize for being so MIA on here. But now it's gonna be even busier because I'm officially a senior in high school! That's kinda crazy, but that brings a lot of responsibilities. Bro, I want to get into college!

But I'll try writing more, it's just that I've lost inspiration a lot and I don't know how to bring it back but to be honest, it's naturally coming back so I'm happy about that. So expect a couple more chapters by the end of the summer vacation (hopefully lol).

Anyway, I miss you guys, and I hope you like this chapter. Love you!
