Hayley's POV ||

'Hey!' I said to Ryder as I welcomed him in.

'Hey' he said as he kissed me.

'So, what're you doing here?' I asked.

'Oh, uh.. Just came to check on you'

'Check on me? I'm fine' I smiled.

He started looking around the whole house.

'Ryder?'

'Er.. Yeah?' He replied nervously.

'Nathan's not here.'

'Who said I was looking for Nathan?' He tried covering up.

'Okay, then who are you looking for?'

He didn't say a word.

'It's fine. He isn't here. Stop worrying about me and him. He's been my best friend since forever. And we're only best friends. That's it'

Ryder constantly getting jealous of Nathan and I was kinda annoying. I mean, he should just trust me.

'Hey, Hayles!' Nathan suddenly opened the door.

He startled me.

'Did I scare you?' he laughed.

'How'd you even get it?' I asked, trying to stop panting.

'You leave a spare key under the door mat. Do you honestly think I don't know that?' He laughed once again.

I let out a fake smile.

'Look, I'm not even gonna ask you what's bothering you nor am I gonna make you talk about whatever it is that's bothering you. I'm here to make sure you have a good weekend okay?'

He pulled me out and locked the doors.

'Where are we going?' I asked.

'You'll see' he said cheekily.

We both got into his car and he sped off.

These are the times I really love having Nathan as a best friend.
