Chapter 18 - Cinderella Moment

Hayley's POV ||

'What about this?' I asked, pulling up a floral dress that came up to my knees.

'Nah, not that. It's too girly for you' Nathan replied.

'Why do I need a dress anyway?'

'Cause half of the things you've picked out are skinny jeans, T'shirts, leather jackets, hoodies and boots. You can't wear that to an event, can you?'

'Ugh fine. W-wait, event? What event?'

'There! This is perfect!' He said while handing me an embellished faux feather gown.

'You aren't gonna tell me are you? I asked as I took the dress from him.

'Nope!' He smiled cheekily.

'I underestimated your skills, Sykes. This dress is really beautiful' I said as I looked at myself in the mirror.

'Aha! You see, now you look gorgeous cause of me' he said.

'Wait, did you just call me gorgeous?'

'No'

'Yeah, you did'

'N-no I didn't! Just get out of the dress and pick out some shoes or something' he mumbled.

'Ah, I can't get this dress'

'No, I'm getting it for you'

'Nathan! It's like 1000 bucks'

'Pounds.' He corrected me. 'Oh just stop complaining already. I said I'm getting it for you' he smiled.

I got out of the dress and started looking at some shoes.

Nathan saw me looking at some gold heels.

'No-no! You can't wear heels!' He immediately said.

'Oh Nathan.'

'For real, you aren't wearing those'

'Never. Just accept the fact that I'm sorta taller than you when I'm in heels'

'B-but those are like 6 freaking inches'

'I'm still getting it!'

'Women.' He mumbled.

Nathan got to my place early, or I was probably just late. He had let himself in while I was still getting ready. Suddenly, Nathan walked in the room as I was putting my shoes on. He was in a suit. His hair was done. He looked extremely hot.

Of course I couldn't tell him that.

'Woah Sykes, you clean up good' I said as I took a look at his whole outfit.

'You don't look so bad yourself, Brooks'

'Oh shut up. I'm gorgeous, you said so'

'N-no! Ugh. Are you ready yet?' He changed the subject.

'Yeah, just gotta get my clutch'

'Nathan! That's a freaking limousine!'

'I'm not blind Hayles' he laughed.

'T-that's - we're going in that?!' I obviously couldn't hold back the excitement.

'No, a limo's just parked up front for show. Of course we're going in that!' He held my hand and lead me towards the car.

We got settled in and I still couldn't help but wonder where the limo was headed.

'Nathan, would you tell me where we're going already??' I insisted.

'No, stop being so impatient!'

'C'mon!!!'

'You'll see when we get there!'

After 40 minutes of driving, the driver finally came to a stop.

'And we're here' Nathan said as he fixed his hair.

I tried looking out but I couldn't see anything clearly. There were loads of screaming fans though.

'Nathan?' I asked curiously.

'Just go with it, Hayles'

The driver opened the door and we both stepped out together.

Oh my god.

We were at the London Premiere for Divergent.

Oh my lord.

Nathan smiled when he saw my excitement.

'You ready?' He asked.

'Yeah' I said as he held my hand.

Fans started screaming when they saw Nathan.

We both posed for pictures and walked the red carpet together.

We got into the theater, ready for the movie.

'Nathan' I said.

He looked at me. 'Yeah?'

'You're amazing'

'Awww' he said, mocking an American girl voice.

He then held my hand and I leaned my head on his shoulder.
