She must have dozed off in Savannah's arms, because the next thing she knew, they were back at the castle. Savannah sprinted inside and laid Molly on a soft, white bed.
"Oh, my." She heard a voice say, but she had closed her eyes and was too drained and tired to open them back up.
She heard Savannah and someone else talking, but she couldn't make out any words. She felt a prick on her arm and jumped slightly, but still could not open her eyes.
"She should be okay," she heard someone nearby say.
She felt a flush of relief. She wasn't going to die.
After what seemed only a few minutes, Molly finally found the strenght to open her eyes.
She blinked a few times and slowly looked around. The area that surrounded her looked like a hospital room. She heard a constant beeping noise and looked to the side to notice she was connected to a heart machine and a blood pump. Where had they gotten that blood?!
She glanced to the other side of the room to see Savannah sleeping in a chair. She had lines of dark black mascara down her face, indicating she had been crying hard. Molly called out to her, which took a lot of energy.
"Savannah."
Savannah only twitched.
"Savannah," she forced out a little louder, he voice hoarse from her dry throat.
Savannah finally woke. Her eyes darted to Molly once she was up and immediately ran over to her.
"Are you okay, babe? How do you feel?" She quickly looked at the heart machine.
"I'm okay," Molly told her, trying to sound as assuring as possible.
"Oh dear, you don't sound okay."
She watched as Savannah walked to a nearby sink and grabbed a styraphome cup from a dispenser before pouring water into it and walking back.
She helped Molly slowly sit up and held the cup up to her lips for her. Molly tilted her head back and Savannah followed her lips with the cup.
Water had never tasted so good. Molly gulped it down eagerly. She frowned when Savannah pulled the cup away.
"Don't drink too fast, beautiful," she said with a chuckle as she sat down on the bed.
Molly sighed and watched Savannah.
Savannah looked her over. "I could ask doctor if we could unhook you long enough for a nice shower."
Molly glanced down at herself. She was in a hospital gown and was covered in dirt and dried blood. Molly curled up her nose in disgust and nodded.
"Okay, I'll be right back." Savannah shot out of the room and was back in no time. "He approved, we just gotta be careful and I have to go get him to inject the needle back once you are done."
Savannah gently pulled the needle out of Molly, causing her to groan.
She helped Molly stand up and get dressed. Molly's ankle was wrapped.
"Is it broken?" She asked, pointing down to it.
"Doctor said it is just sprained," Savannah informed her.
She helped Molly get into the shower nearby and Molly began washing off all the dirt and dry blood. It was all over her- in her nails, hair, legs, arms... Everywhere.
It took her about three times the time it usually takes her to shower. For one, she was moving in slow motion. She felt nauseous and dizzy if she moved to fast. Secondly, she had to get all that shit off of her.
She climbed out of the shower and Savannah put her in a fresh hospital gown. She climbed back onto the bed.
"Feel any better?" Savannah asked, running her fingers through Molly's wet blonde hair. Molly nodded and smiled at her.
Savannah sighed and offered her some water. Molly drank some greatfully and Savannah left her to go get the doctor. Molly curled under the sheets and waited. Savannah came back in with the doctor following her.
"How are we doing, Miss Molly?" He walked towards her with a big smile that Molly couldn't help but be creeped out by.
"I'm alright, thanks for all you've done."
He took her wrist and checked her pulse. "It's my pleasure." He then picked up the needle. "Ready?"
She sighed and nodded.
He gently shoved it into her arm, hooking her back go the blood bag.
She thanked him again and he told her to be careful and get sleep then left with that creepy smile still painted on his face.
Savannah crawled in with her and they snuggled close. Savannah rubbed her hair and rocked her gently. Molly looked up at her and saw that she was crying quietly. She frowned when she saw Savannah's tears.
"This isn't your fault, Savannah."
"Yes it is..."
Molly shook her head. "No, it's not. Don't think that."
Savannah hesitated before sighing and running her lips along Molly's forehead. "Get some sleep, babe."
Molly nodded slightly and leaned back into Savannah, greatful for her presence and falling asleep in her arms.
