"Now what was the point of that?" William scowled.

"I was hoping I could make them remember me," Molly explained with watery eyes.

"You can't do that. If they are brainwashed, they are brainwashed. You can't change anything."

Molly glared at him. "If your family was brainwashed wouldn't you do the same?"

"I guess if I was a dumb human who thought I could out smart a vampire spell, then maybe."

Molly couldn't take it anymore. She began to cry. At first she tried to hide it, but once William glanced at her, she gave up and let the tears fall.

He sighed. "I'm sorry, Molly."

"Don't take me back to the castle, William."

"You don't have to refer to it as 'castle.' It is my...our home."

She could never imagine living in a castle and being able to call it home. It didn't seem right. Especially not with the people who took everything away.

"It's not my home William." Molly told him bleakly.

He only sighed again.

They sat for a few minutes in silence until there was a loud thud on the roof of the car. Molly screamed at the sudden noise. Someone was on top of the car!

William cursed and looked around wildly which made Molly nervous they'd crash.

To her relief, they pulled over and he got out of the car. Molly then stepped out of the passenger seat, feeling a bit scared.

She only saw Penny, which would have been another relief only if she didn't have that terrible look on her face. She was paler than usual and looked shaken and nervous.

"We need to go! Now!" She began pushing William back into the car he just stepped out of.

"What's going on, Penn?!" He demanded.

"It's Savannah! I'll explain on the way. Just get in and go!" She began pushing him again.

He glanced back at Molly who nodded, showing she cared and wanted to go. He got the message and jumped back in the car.

Once there, he stepped on the gas with such force, Molly thought she would fly right through the seat.

Once recovered, Molly looked back at the wide eyed Penny. "What's wrong with Savannah?"

"She's dying." Penny looked straight at Molly when she spoke. She said it simply, as if it were no big deal.

"She's what?!" Molly exclaimed.

"How? What the hell happened?" William questioned.

"She tried to kill herself, guys..." Penny then looked down.

"What the fuck? Step on it, William!"

He did as Molly said and went even faster. He sped around cars and ran through lights and stop signs.

"How did she attempt this suicide?" William asked.

"She stabbed herself deep in her shoulder. She was hoping to die of blood loss, I guess. Henry sent me to get you guys."

Molly felt dizzy. "Can't you vampires get to places faster?"

Penny reached up and placed a hand on Molly's shoulder. "We will make it."

Molly sighed and hoped she was right.
