Molly opened her eyes and wiped them with the back of her hand.
She checked the time on her ipod. It read 10:15. Shit! She needed to get out of here.
She quickly put everything back where she found it and hopped over the fence and walked back to the front.
Now what? Another taxi?
She needed another phone and phonebook. She groaned. This was so much work last time. Maybe the hotel could provide her with one.
She walked in the front this time. She thought about it being dangerous if anyone had seen her last night, but got over herself. They would have done something if they saw her.
She walked up to the front desk. There was a girl with short pink hair and a bright smile.
"Hello!" She said cheerily.
The thought of danger was instantly removed from her mind.
She thought about the girl from the tattoo parlor. That to this? She chuckled.
"Hey. I was wondering if you have a phone and phonebook I could borrow."
The girl beamed. "Of course!" She grabbed a phone from her side of the counter and handed it to Molly. She then placed a book in front of her.
"Thanks." Molly found another taxi number and by the time she hung up the phone, the guy said he was on his way. She smiled at the girl. "Thanks so much."
"Oh, you're welcome, sugar!"
Molly waited in the parking lot; not long though. The man was there in no time.
She hopped in and asked him to take her to the closet city to Kentucky. He told her it would take about forty-five minutes. She agreed and they were on their way.
They were there in fifty minutes. He didn't talk the entire ride and it was super awkward.
She paid him and hopped out.
She had four dollars and fifteen cents left. She needed to get to Kentucky with this money. She could make it today if she got another cab. There was a hair salon two feet away.
She walked in and went through the same procedure. Once her taxi pulled up, she hopped in and asked how far Kentucky was.
He told her they were on the edge of West Virgina and Kentucky was forty minutes away. He agreed to take her there. She almost jumped for joy.
He asked what city she needed to go to. She told him and he promised she would be there in at least fifty minutes.
They took off and Molly's confidence grew and she couldn't wait to arrive back home.
